Indeed it was a little bit unorthodox to provide a yearling an aging mountain lion as an opponent and yet she hardly cared. The boy survived with barely a scratch. Perhaps she should win the award for ‘worst Alpha’ by allowing this stunt to even happen. Really if anyone had observed this entire ordeal someone was sure to come bounding in and rescue the poor pup. Tick Tock was anything but ‘orthodox.’ Cuirass wanted to be a strong warrior and so she would teach him, in her own way, how to achieve such a thing. She was not a Master that believed in teaching a pupil in such a safe environment…because well, she never thought of doing that in the first place. She was a loner and she survived on her own. She was responsible for multiple lives and she was going to teach them how she taught herself. Cuirass was lucky to call her one of his mentors because she has been through it and seen it all, and she would see to it he saw it all too. Lucky, lucky him.
As she observed the young pup and the mountain lion engage with one another her half-torn ear twitches back and forth. Sapphire eyes narrowed as he did a few moves she wasn’t so keen about. Why he felt the need to actually the bite the cat’s tail she did not know, but she shook her head in disappointment. Slowly she would jump off her rock and march up to him. Her banner swaying back forth lazily behind her as both radars stood up at attention. She would stand at his side as he began to lick off the old blood on his pelt. Quietly she observed him as she pondered on her words wanting to choose them correctly. She wanted to make sure that he would at least understand. Her cold voice would slither out gently from her jaws as she began to break down the bases.
“A warrior must always know when to cut their losses. You are young, far too immature and incapable of taking down a mountain lion. You did what you thought was best. Instead of losing and ending up dead, you decided life and let it go away. Before I assess and break down your movements, tell me – what did you learn from the cat?”
