Weakness was something she could not tolerate. Being amongst those that were weak was agonizing. The need to obliterate anything that was weak was strong and it wasn’t a switch that she could easily turn off. It was natural for their kind to take out the ones that were wasting away. Keeping the weak around could make a pack or herd struggle and slow down, and that just wouldn’t do in her book. Most wolves could not accept that she and her counterpart would attack their own species and yet it did not matter. Not every wolf was going to understand just as not every wolf was going to want Tobias within their presence. She was not a creature that demanded respect from others. Honestly she would rather be left alone, but if she had to pick and choose how others saw her then she would prefer toleration. Dark eyes watched him carefully as she continued observing the potential new member. Her half torn ear catches on to his words as he manages to speak without the normal fluidly one usually has. It was his admittance of his particular weakness that caused her eyes to narrow and her thick grey and ebony hairs to slowly turn up like knives.
“We do not accept nor tolerate weakness. Are you sure you are capable of catching up, are you sure you will not be a hindrance or a weak link?”
Her voice was soft and cool holding a sense of firmness. If he could not keep up with the healthy wolves that were within her pack then he would be instantly turn away or used as food for Tobias. One could say she admired his bravery, slightly, that he would be willing to put himself in such a position. Not every wolf could handle it though. Not every wolf could try and keep up with those around them. This would take every fiber of his being to achieve such a thing and she wanted him to prove it too her. What made him such a special wolf that she would endanger her pack with a weak link? Why should she keep him when she could easily have a healthy wolf take his place.
