He was good at covering his tracks she could admit that much. She gave a sweet, girlish giggle at his words trying to explain it again but she wasn’t fooled. He knew what she really meant but she wasn’t going to call him out for it. It wasn’t in her and she really didn’t mind his little game of the whole ordeal. Her tail waved lightly she was just teasing him more than anything not really meaning any harm in it herself and she was happy he understood the game. It was similar to how she gave her siblings a hard time she supposed though not even close to the trouble her sister Midna used to cause. She missed her sister and her father very much but there was, for now, nothing she could do about it. She could only focus on the here and now and what could be in the future, and that was enough for one little girl’s mind. She didn’t share her own troubles though, there was no reason. Everyone in the world had their own fights and Zelda was not one to press her problems into others until she needed help. There was nothing Hyrule could do about her missing family, nothing anyone could do really except wait and hope soon they would return.

Him placing his own problems was a different story. She would happily take in the problems of others and help them through them. Perhaps it was something she had gained from her grandfather, that desire to help and please all that asked her for it. Though she wished to agree with him that even those with the most tainted of heart and souls could be purified she knew some were simply too far gone to be lost. Hyrule however was far from and she would do whatever she could to help him and keep him a light soul. Time greyed all white souls but like with fur some greyed faster than others. All she knew about his line was that the leader her grandfather served under was a kind wolfess and there was nothing corrupt with her or the family that he knew and her grandmother was friends with the Heyel who was Hyrule’s grandfather. She knew her grandmother well at the very least and she never would have liked anyone that was dark or bad in anyway. At the very least not capable of the bad things that were untrue that Hyrule was suggesting this Covet had made.

After her words were finished about the darkness that consumed Covet’s heart and how he was trying to infuse those same things into Hyrule she could only hope he would understand her meaning and know that she was happy he stayed it off. If it wasn’t normal that would mean he still had his light and the shadow had not yet aken over him. If it was normal for him to feel such anger that was a time to be worried. Him being worried about just feeling it the one time was enough to make her feel safe and secure that he had been victorious over the darkness and gave her light and hope that he could continue to prevail. She was happy he had spoken to her about it, happy he was still him even with all the changes that had happened as well as Covet attempt at corrupting him.

”There will always be shadows out here; they surround us all the time. Lands filled with them in Moladion. We cannot please everyone especially those filled with darkness and its best not to consider the hard feelings they have before you set to do what you want. Some will hate and resent you regardless of how hard to you try to help and please them. After all, my grandfather, even though he was kind and gentle and forgiving to also has his enemies. He is perhaps one of the lightest wolves I know despite that his past was filled with shadows. No matter how we might try, we will never please everyone. It’s funny despite being told this and I still want to try. Is that silly?” She gave a little giggle at that, ”Is that how you feel too?”

She wondered at that smiling a bit perhaps being a bit self-deprecating herself but she couldn’t help it, she understood his worry and perhaps this didn’t help but maybe being like-minded and knowing there was someone who cared along with them would help. But as he continued speaking about Covet, his jealousy she listened yet again. Her ears tilted forward attentively as he said it took many just to stop one wolf.

”Darkness is always easier to fuel than light, but think of it this way, Hyrule, while it took many to stop him, did it have too? She paused then giving a soft encouraging smile at him then her bright teal eyes gleaming as they met with his own violet eyes. ” I think it’s not impossible to do it on your own…. I think it’s just easier with friends with you. Easier to find the shadows, easier to stop them when there are friends on your side. He caused a blemish but nothing more on the lands and now it is recovering. This is why friends are helpful they make easier to make the shadow smaller to stay pure of your own heart. Like a hunt. A single wolf can bring down a deer, but it’s easier when there are others with you and you don’t get hurt as easily, I think it’s sort of the same that way.” She grinned at her little analogy proud of herself for a short moment before finishing, ”His influence did not change the hearts of anyone, if they turned even more against him, I think. I certainly do not think him innocent or right in anyway after what he had done.” She stopped again then thinking for a moment on what she had said, again not sure if there was a better way to put it but I was the best she could do for now.

She wondered then exactly what it was he was planning to do. Based on what she had gathered he would be diving head long into some trouble and trying to face these shadows. Not alone though, he mentioned friends in there and that brought comfort to her that he had friends support, but she wondered too.

”Hyrule, am I one of your friends? Can I help you too?” She wanted to help regardless if they were friends or not really. To her it sounded like he was on a dangerous adventure and would need all the help he could get and she wanted to help him too. She thought him as a friend she certainly liked him enough to consider him that much at least, but she wondered it could have been her childish innocence that placed him there. Either way she hoped he would at least let her help because to her he was her friend at the very least and she would always help her friends.
