The words Kairos sparked pulled Taika ever briefly from her jovial disposition. Smirks and taunts were not a completely foreign concept to the maiden, but many of them had been made while bodies sang a different tune. Tones of teasing and play.
Kairos did not represent all that was fun in the world, and it broke the playful spirits’ heart. Still determined, Taika made up her mind to do what she could to breath the light back into the void, even if it meant getting in far too over her young head. She smiled happily when Kairos commended her work as protector and nodded her head in respectful return. Her heart swelled and she jumped again to her feet, allowing her tail once more to sway.
”You would be right! Very few know to play as well as me!” Kairos slowly lowered herself into a bow, and Taika jumped back to follow suit. ”Yes!” She yipped excitedly. ”Very good! My favorite is to find something to play with!” Her head flew from side to side in search. First she saw a large stick that would have done nicely, save for the fact she did not think her companion would take kindly to being hit with it. Instead, the flame kissed girl dived for a rock that was just big enough to fit in her mouth. She bit at it a moment, testing its weight and judging it to be a paw stone, not a mouth stone.
”This will work!” She used her claws to remove it from the frozen ground and send it over to Kairos. Turning again to face the other, she smiled while she panted expectantly. ”Keep it away from me! And no biting. Hurting your friends is against the rules.”
Young, naive, playful, and hopeful;Taika was not stupid, she would know when a game went too far.
