sing the song with the heart of the people
While it wasn't the most ideal solution in the beginning at being stolen, Natu hadn't been altogether that mad about it. It was interesting how fate seemed to take the reins in her life and steer her along, Fenrir with her, and she couldn't help but figure Eden had a purpose. A motive for his madness just as she had once had motive to steal those she figured might otherwise not give the mountains a second chance. Now the mountains were filled to the brim with wolves, constant sounds of howling and puppy calls being heard when passing the border. It was a bittersweet thing that she pushed down and away from her to better focus on the sound of the cold water rushing together, splashing and sucking. That is before she sees the boy down the way with his own contemplative expression on his face and two souls, curious, should never be ignored. Thus she stands and moves towards him but upon realizing her intent he rushes forwards with a endearingly sweet expression of worry on his face, one that makes her smile turn into a grin as she obligingly seats herself once more.
He is charming in a very boyish, chivalrous way, and she feels her own motherly instincts kick in. As his questions seem to drown themselves out with the next one and the next one, she looks upon him with a bright fondness in her pale blue eyes, quiet so that he can speak. It is like his soul, a pure one, is seeking out another desperately, and she would sit here and listen to him all day if that is what he desired, pregnant or not. So long as she had food, mind you, it was very difficult to manage anything without food nowadays.
"Thank you for your kind worry Tristan, but I am alright. This is nothing compared to my last litter and I believe there are fewer pups. It is to be expected at my age," she says with a soft chuckle, still beaming at him, amused at the way he tucks himself in sheepishly and looks up at her as if she would scold him. Perhaps Eden was the kind for such measures, but Natu was a champion for gentleness in others and she basked in his.
"Eden brought me here from the open lands but I was in Taviora before this and in Asteraia before that and even before that, in Spirane. You might say I am from everywhere, wouldn't you? My mate's name is Fenrir," she answers, eyes softening at the mention of her mate and tail waving back and forth against the sand.
"He is very nice once he warms up to you, but quiet before. I think I am having only two this time, but it could very well be one. I had four two years ago and you should have seen me then. I think wolves were certain I had swallowed an entire bear." She grins at him.
"Tell me about yourself Tristan. How long have you been here and how do you like it here, with Eden? I will likely be having my children here and would liek to know if it is a place worth living."
