Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Tithe stepped slowly as he moved. The weight of the choices ahead of him greatly burdened his mind. The values he had grown to hold dear had become blurry at best and tenuous in the easiest of situations. He knew what he wanted, and the things he desired most in his life. It seemed like he could not have the two he held most dear. To have one, he had to give up the other. In his heart, he knew he could not live without both.

The sun on high had melted the snow, welcoming the world back it o life with spring. It did nothing to light he darker thoughts nor his sour mood. Virtue became painstaking when it clashed with desire. Everything was just within reach...at the tips of his fingers. Paths he had never dreamed he would have to chose now stood before him and he did not know which to take. He had come to his fourth year of age with nothing to his name. Not even a side to stand on.

A voice he instantly recognized pierced through the hazy fog of his consciousness. A smile grew on his dark lips and the knight took off in the direction of Taika's call. He stopped in the field, on the outskirts of the gathering and let his eyes travel the company that had gathered. When he had first come to this land he had remembered a similar gathering happening and he had fled. This time he sat to watch his friend play in the long grasses. He guessed she knew the rest had gathered and had simply not cared, silently inviting them to play with her without forcing them to do so. His tongue rolled out of his mouth while he watched happily, keeping his dark eyes on any other who may have meant any of the bystanders harm. For a moment he blinked in surprise and suspicion. The 'prince' who had challenged him to nobly in the fall was nowhere to be seen. Where was Taika's fairie prince? Perhaps he had won Tithe's grudging approval too soon. Once the armored beast cleared up his own thoughts, he made it a vow to return his attention to the chocolate girl he called his sister.
