On the frontlines of war

�I don�t know how much you knew of this pack before coming here, but the wolves here do not have the typical personality. I suppose that�s why we all come together and live here. The fact that they didn�t kill you or torture you means that they accepted you. And you�re a male which is probably why the females were the ones that toyed with you.��Her words made him just shrug at the shoulders. Then she spoke again.

�I believe from my past experiences that�s where I would fit in best as well. What was your home before this like?� His ear flicked to her body and he remained speechless for a few moments after he processed her words. Home. His rubies looked to her pools and he shook his head. His maw opened for a moment before he spoke, just gaping as if he couldn't get the words out. "It was glorious . . . Everyone knew everyone . . . I suppose that was the issue. Secrets got out. War began. My brothers, father and I were sent as soldiers but . . ."

His voice cracked on that last word. His rubies looked to his paws. "They died that night. All of them. I was sent to scout and when I came back the ground was stained with blood. I went to return home but the grounds there were also covered in blood. They ambushed both, the troops and our home. The children weren't even spared. . ." He sighed. That was the past however. He needed to get over that all.

"And I will stand my ground until the end"
