The meeting had ended on a good note and Damian had convinced Kalgalath to let one of his warriors to come with them. The warrioress that padded with them was confident, her black fur healthy and her frame well muscled and cared for. The ghostly Beta padded quietly beside her and just behind Damian. The raven King was in no mood to be trifled with, his stature was more aggressive but his onyx pelt made him blend into the shadowy lands that they were traversing. The thick brush and trees kept the sun’s rays at bay making the white knight a smoky wisp moving among the black shadows near Malignant Felicity’s borders.

Pierce was not in a mood of pure anger like his Alpha, but he was rather worried. Not for their safety or lack of strength. He was confident that the three of them would be fine. He was worried about Collum, his packmate. His life had barely been saved under the paws of their healer Alexandria Genisis and yet he still had the audacity to protest at his rank. Pierce was not happy with this test of loyalty. He would have preferred to seek out his own revenge without Collum. With Collum by his side, he had more to worry about. The sanity of the attacker was no doubt gone and Collum’s loss of strength around him had the white knight wondering if Collum going was the best of ideas… He had faith in Collum’s fighting abilities but after such a near death experience his strength would be sapped for a long while and would his soul recover from such a personal attack? There was so much in question that Pierce feared the worst to come. He would be putting himself and Collum in danger to take down the worthless ghoul and would it really be worth it?

Pierce stopped in the brush behind his King. The wind blew his scent away from the borders but the stench of blood and massacre hit Pierce with a stunning force. He hadn’t smelt so much blood since he had left his former home and it made him cringe. But somewhere deep inside he relished the smell, his darker demon was residing in wait. The scent of blood drawing it back out, but Pierce pushed away the invading thoughts and urges. His tiger embers looked to Chenzii and motioned for her to stop and wait with him. They were back up for Damian, warriors in wait.

"Optimism is fatal in my experience," He growls.
