There were some secrets that not everyone should be aware of. Tick Tock was not one that openly expressed who she was, rather, she kept things controlled and collected. In many ways Raven and Tick Tock were alike, but they held significant differences that allowed them to cope and exist in their world. Many, like Aithne, would think terrible thoughts about the fact Tick Tock had left her daughter in a strange land when she was barely weaned off her milk. Tick Tock had a very good reason and she did not think she had to explain herself, because no one really deserved that answer in the first place. Her half torn ear twitches as she listens to the low annoyed rumbles come from the swamp Alpha. Tick Tock did not return with her own growl rather she remained standing indifferently. Her responsibility for her daughter was waved and she relied on the promise Andras had given her and since Aithne replaced him then that promise was on her head. Tick Tock had her own assumptions as to why Raven would disappear from Iromar and there was some concern at the thought that perhaps the curse had gone into effect. Her assumption that the curse could be barred by being involved with a pack, rather than ostracized, might have been the solution...and now she was thinking her assumption was incorrect.
“Raven knows her place is Iromar and she would not abandon it. Why would she climb the ranks as quickly as she did if she did not care for that pack at all.”
She felt it was necessary to reassure the Alpha that her daughter would return to her rightful place. If her daughter was anything like herself then the strong sense of loyalty would remain. She wondered though if perhaps she should warn the Alpha that there was something she and Raven were keeping hidden. After all how would the Alpha feel if she knew what Raven could be...no...what she would become. She knew she was disliked by most and having Tobias at her side wouldn’t provide her any friends, then again, she never had any friends in the first place so she didn’t think she was missing much. The very idea of an alliance was needed. This Spring she would make it upon herself to work on the relationships with the others as soon as the parasites growing inside her could function without her for a while. Shaking her head she would speak gruffly once more keeping her eyes steady on Aithne.
“I am not interested in wars or attacks. My wolves have done nothing to anyone since I have claimed ownership of the fields. Taviora may be allies of mine, I heard the former ruler here had attacked the young leader. The truce I seek is that we do not attack one another, we do not steal, and we speak to one another should a problem occur.”
She took a few steps back pleased to hear that at least she had one pack to have a truce with. She was unsure about the beaches and the mountains. Diveen had angered her when they took her very own and she was aware that needing them for an alliance would be ideal, but she was concerned about the worth of their promise. Taviora, however, would be a quite interesting one. She had attacked them, with Tobias and his mate, and they were challenged by Jaidah...surely that conversation between herself and the young leader would be quite interesting. The concern about her daughter was not there, but she would offer the Alpha some sort of advice.
“There was a wolf here...a prisoner of mine...she was burned and has only one eye. She mentioned she attacked a wolf that looked similar to me and one of my own members wanted to kill her on the spot...this one red-eye she-wolf...she may have answers.”
