It is, perhaps, unsurprising to find her to be such a distant wolf. After all, not much is known of Asteraia beyond its terrain. Her body speaks of a fighter - a survivor - and yet, it speaks nothing else. It does not speak of bloodlines or superfluous concerns. Even the way she moves with her rank is seemingly unlike other alphas - more passive in its own way. Those things, of course, are in insight into Asteraia in itself. So then, why had a wolf like that female come from such a place? Her demeanor had not given me the impression of meshing well with a wolf like this.
I watch her closely and yet, when she speaks, I look away to consider her words for a moment. A prisoner? I cannot help but eye her suspiciously for a moment, searching her face for the lie and yet, there is only cold indifference. Perhaps, then, she speaks the truth and so, it might be of more concern after all. A wolf with no backing and nothing to lose was indeed a dangerous thing, particularly when they did not seek to learn of those they sought power from. Why then had she left this place with such a burning desire to fight? I turn to her then once more, my words warm with curiosity.
I am... interested to see what her response shall be, if I shall receive one that is. Still, I feel my muscles instinctively brace, my chin automatically twitching to lower over my throat. It is quite a thing to say and perhaps she will not take it so kindly; I cannot help but feel the corner of my lip twitch up ever so slightly in amusement. It would have been a smart thing to do, after all, to send forth a wolf to take leadership, if only to expand Asteraia's leader's influence furthermore. A placeholder, if you would, wearing a fake crown and operating beneath a true queen. Smart and yet, perhaps I am overestimating the cunning or interest of others. It is mere speculation and yet, so many might take such a thing as accusation.
