She is pleased, grateful that her counterpart had returned home...to their home. Some may have thought that having him among a pack, let alone, allow him to be an Alpha was a dangerous thing. Yet ever since she won Asteraia every single pack in Moladion had not been attacked by Tobias. She had successfully made Moladion a safer place- even though she did not have any intention to do so. It just happened. All she wanted was to take over a weak pack and bring it strength, but also provide Tobias a safe haven. He had thrived well here and she was quite content with his presence always being near her. With Tobias back where he belonged, beside her, she could feel all the tension from before slowly ease away. During his scuffle she had felt the injuries he had endured from Jaidah and she was frustrated that she could do no such thing to help him. He would win alone, she knew he could, but it pained her that her imprint was fighting...when she should have been the one ripping Jaidah to shreds. It was her responsibility to protect those within the fields and keep them safe from anyone that wanted to do them harm. For a creature that was so used to being alone she was already becoming attached to the wolves of the fields – pleased to see their loyalty to herself, to Tobias, but to each other as well.
As she brought her companion within their cave she was not bothered at all when he began to snap at her. Patiently she dodged each of his strikes as she gently shoved her shoulder into his side keeping him from leaving. He was injured and not only did he need looked at, but he needed rest as well. It was no surprise that by instinct alone his adrenaline would keep him active and alert. Instincts was both a blessing and a curse and right now he was blinded, betrayed by his very own instincts. For now she will be his drug that would represent his sanity. He may despise her wish to stay within the cave, but she was doing this for his own good. Believe it or not, but Tick Tock was quite capable of caring for others – it just wasn’t something she showed to others so often. He was the keeper of her soul and over their time she was starting to grow a deeper affection for the demented wolf. He accepted her as she was and she accepted him as he was. Not changing him, but offering him assistance when he demanded it...or when he didn’t want it – as was the case here. When Nakato came Tick Tock purposely put herself between the bob-tailed wolf and her imprint not wanting harm to come to either one. When she moved her neck to block Tobias’ vision of Nakato she felt his fangs sink into her neck letting out a soft growl fighting back her need to bite him in return. Luckily his hold on her was weak and quick – their bond always keeping the two from attack one another. Softly she speaks her cold tone gently slithering into his audits attempting to make him see that Nakato is not a threat.
“Calm down Tobias...she is friend...she will not hurt you.”
Crawling on her stomach she moves closer to him, not minding at all that Nakato left, knowing the she-wolf was doing as she commanded. She returned to the task of licking the side of his face. When she had returned from her fight from Reaver he had taken the task upon himself to lick her own wounds, it was not out of love or care, but it was something he was working on from his instincts. Though she was not working on instincts alone as she began to lick away the blood on his chest. No she was doing this for other reasons, perhaps selfish, and yet unselfish at the same time. When Nakato came back with the meat she turned her neck away watching Nakato as she dropped the meat for Tobias, pleased to see Tobias go for the meat and devour it quickly. It was when the drugs began to affect him did her eyes leave Nakato and stay firmly on Tobias, her ears perked with interest. As he continued to struggle between being awake or letting the drugs hold him down a soft whimper was given wishing he would go out knowing full well that only when he was out could Nakto proceed. Dark eyes watched his muscle loosen up and those emerald gems close and slowly she would crawl on her belly again to get close to him. Gently her muzzle would nuzzle into his neck as she breathed him in her soul calming down with his presence close and resting. With a flick of her tail she gave Nakato permission to do what she needed to do, sapphire eyes looking down upon the wolf with an affectionate gaze. Laying her head on his neck she sighed softly whispering, and knowing full well that if he could hear her he wouldn’t understand.
“Thank you Tobias.”
Truly this scenery was heartbreaking. No it wasn’t because Tobias was injured, hardly was there enough significant damage that brought him near death, but it was the fact that what could possibly be between the two wolves may...never happen. They may be bound together by their very souls, but when one was developing a stronger relation to the other to something more...powerful...that did not mean the other would reciprocate it – or be aware of it all together.
