Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I can't make out what the other puppy is after but I know that whatever he plans on doing once he's done digging, it's gotta be more fun than hanging out at the den with Samia. Not that I don't love spending time with my sister cause I do, but shes' much more awkward about the outside world than I am. I can't get enough! I want to see everything and do everything and there's just not enough hours in the day to satisfy my hunger for exploration and knowledge. I've only seen glimpses of rabbits from a distance because of course I'm too clumsy and loud ot get up close without them running but I've seen them darting away on their bouncy back legs. I've even tried to running like them to see if it made me faster, but insitead I just tripped over my own legs and ended up face planting in the dirt. Samia seemed to find it hilarious but my nose was scraped up and it hurt for days, not that I complained or anything. I've always been rather silent when it comes to pain.

I can't tell if the other puppy is trying to get out to talk to me or if he's rather keep digging to China or something. I see him twisting and fidgeting as if trying to back out, his ears coming into view from the dark hole but his face is still mostly in the burrow. He seems to go completely silent for a minute when I speak and I tilt my head only further, tail still wagging as my own ears flicker in puzzlement. What's he doing? Is he even breathing? And finally he starts to push himself out, an audible pop sound in my ears as he collapses out of the hole onto his rear end. I watch his jaw tighten but not a sound is heard though I cringe myself at the way his legs buckled beneath him. That must have hurt.

He repeats his words back to me though he seems puzzled at first. I blink at him for a moment, confused myself before I nod. "Yeah, that's what I just asked. You go first." I figure he's just asking the question back to me but I did ask first so technically he should answer first, right? It's only polite. He stares at me a moment more before he grins and the look is contagious. I grin right back at him, wagging my tail only harder. When he speaks again, I get up and move to the hole beside him, bringing my nose up to sniff the air before I turn to grin at him. "It does! What IS it?" My eyes light up in eagerness.
