Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Silas
[ zero ] [ enderly x eris ] [ loner ]
The odd man out.

Youthful innocence has protected the boy, for the most part. But there are some things that even a pup becomes subconsciously aware of from the moment he is born. Perhaps it has stayed with him, the way the earth trembled when Enderly first met his son, despite his inability to remember such a thing. The jealous fury that this could not possibly be his son permeated the air, soaking into the very core of the child. And as time passed and his earliest memories began to form, the sideways glances and glares from his father gained prominence. For Silas it was normal, from the very start, that his father tended to be shorter of temper with him than his brother Loki. It is his youth that allows him to be indifferent towards his father's preference for his sibling, and maybe it will mold him into more of a momma's boy in the future. Only time will tell.

For now it is adventure and the temptation of breaking rules that beckons him once more the edge of the forest. The den within which he was born lays at his back, deeper within the confines of the woodland. But before him sprawls an endless field of grass. Despite never having wandered out into it, he can tell that further out the foliage will loom far taller than his meager puppy height. Bright blue eyes scanned over the expanse of grass, quick to catch onto the interruption of the flowing green sea made by another wolf. His good ear pricked forward, intent upon this disruption of the peaceful kingdom he had been overlooking. Before he truly realized the decision to investigate had been made, his creamy juvenile legs were carrying him beyond the edges of the forest and out into the vast grassland that he was probably not yet old enough to roam so far into alone. Nevertheless, he goes.

By the time he has crossed the distance to where he thought he'd seen the grasses disrupted by the movement of another wolf, Sirius had discovered his frog playmate. The pink of Silas' nose pushed through the tall grasses the fringe the location of the dip in the earth filled with water that had attracted the frog. His creamy snout followed, until his entire head protruded from the grass so that his brilliant blue optics could watch the antics of the other boy as he dipped down and spoke in a strange way to the frog. A single brow arched upon Silas' face, finding the concept a strange thing. If the multitoned pup wanted to prove he wasn't scared of the frog, why didn't he just squash him with his paw? Why try to play with it? How odd. Rather than say anything, though, the boy with the deformed ear simply waited and watched, appearing as though he were nothing more than a floating head among the surrounding grasses.
