Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Luk
(Three) (No Imprint) (No Mate) (Glorall)

He doesn’t have to wait long for his idol to appear. Eden moved into the clearing, his intense eyes locking on to the bi-colored lens of the pup, and moved forward carefully. Luk didn’t move as the older male sniffs the tuft of Solaris’ fur clutched in his teeth. There is a brief look of surprise on the alpha’s face as he pulls back, keeping a few feet between him and the pup. Dropping the ball of fuzz, the younger boy listened intently to Eden. The question was an easy one and for a moment the boy wondered if he should create an elaborate story. Maybe he could say how he had narrowly escaped from the jaws of Taviora’s Peacekeeper or make it sound more exciting than it actually was. He gazed up at Eden’s expecting eyes and knew, at once, that the wolf would know he was lying. If he was to gain his alpha’s trust, he needed to be completely honest with him.

”I went to Taviora and met Solaris at the border. It was honestly pretty lucky. I lied and told him I wanted access to the pack so I could see my siblings. He let his guard down for a bit and I used that moment to trick him. I pretended a bug landed on his tail and I went to grab it for him. He didn’t like that much. I managed to snag that before he could pull his tail away.” His chest seemed to deflate slightly as he recounted his actions. Having said it, his first mission didn’t sound all that epic now. He hoped that this wouldn’t put Eden off of training him.

The elder wolf asked about his methods. He thought a moment before answering. ”I chose to go with the less… brutal way. I didn’t want them to suspect I was up to anything 'bad'. I’m not sure if we are allies with Taviora, but I didn’t think it was a good idea to make them suspect us. So I thought being subtle and sly was the best option.” He had heard stories of his grandfather and the lives he had taken in epic glory. Did he start out much like Luk was now? Did he sneak around like a thief in the night? Was this how all would-be assassins trained?

He wasn’t sure, but if this was how Eden chose to train the pup, than he would follow. If there was one thing the grandson of Devil May Cry could say for himself, it was that he was determined. He had the will to keep trying until he reached his goal.
