Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Honestly, why did it take boys so long to do things? Not that Ankh had any reason to think bad about herself in that regard. Of course a female had to take time to groom herself. She was a beautiful mix of reds, blacks, and white markings - it was only natural she tended to her appearance with extreme care. An exquisite creature could not remain so by neglecting the very fabric of her existence. But Ankh had gotten up super early today to tend to her needs. She was quite proud of this actually as she was considered the grump of the family in regards to waking up, always preferring those extra few minutes of beauty sleep. She had went to the creek in the tree-filled kingdom to stare at her reflection with a smirk of appreciation. Her thoughts flipped back to that oddly colored boy who had traipsed around the outside of the gathering in Spriane, the almost hostile way he moved, and the sudden prickling of her skin in his presence. It wasn't... unpleasant but neither was it appreciated. Who was he? She had an inkling of what he was to HER but that didn't sit well with Ankh so she had chosen to ignore it for the time, hoping it would go away. She needed a prince, after all, not some... creeper.

Ankh bounds back to the den she shared with her brother still. If he wanted to move out, fine, but she wasn't leaving it. It was hers now that their parents had left and she made sure her brothers knew it. Alistair had been scarce as of late and she had tried to find him but gave up as the thickets grew ever denser the further inland she traveled. He would figure it out. "Alex! Come on, we have to get Arth." Her voice is peevish, as if Alexander is holding her up when in reality he wasn't, but she didn't care. Still, she loved her brother and she was going to make them come regardless if they wanted to or not.

Once Alexander joins her Ankh sets off at a brisk pace towards Spirane, tail hanging high over her back like she is a Queen, her steps graceful and meticulous. Her call is hauntingly beautiful and soon it is met with a shorter, curt one. A few minutes after that Arthfael appears at the border looking a bit put out. "I was in the middle of hunting," he grouches and Ankh rolls her eyes. "Come on, we are going to see mom and dad." He didn't even attempt to argue - arguing with Ankh was like asking the sun to go down early. It just wasn't happening. Arthfael moves so that he is on the other side of Alexander, offering his brother a friendly wag and a conspiratorial grin. In a way he is glad his siblings had come for him.. not that he would ever admit to being lonely.

Thus the threesome makes their way to the seaside pack. "Maybe we should wait," Arthfael intones with severe eyes, but Ankh traipses across the border with elegance, flicking her tail in his face. "Don't be a pansy Arth. Dad won't let them kick us out." And so she leads them inward, glancing pointedly at her brothers to find the scent of their parents and track them, and Arthfael obliges with a low growl of annoyance (but honestly, he loves his sister), and they make their way to a small clearing.

Her ears are pricked to catch Alistair's monotone words - she'd recognize that voice anywhere - and then the high pitched one of a girl and the brazen one of a boy. What in the hell? Pale eyes, green or blue depending on the day, fall on the scene and drop down in surprise to the two pups at her mothers feet. There is no doubt in her mind that these are her siblings, having heard them talk to Alistair, and her brows dip down into a glare, pointing it at Natu and Fenrir in a petulant manner. So they had left her and Alexander to go and have more kids. Was she not enough? Now she had a SISTER. SHE was the princess here, not ... whatever her name was.

Arthfael tilts his head, eyeing both pups before stepping past Ankh and making a point to knock his hip into her shoulder because he had noticed her growing tantrum. He grins at Thor as he walks to Alistair's side, pressing into it as a way of greeting his brothers attention. "What about me? Can't leave your oldest brother out, can we?" Ankh glances at Alexander now, trying to gauge how he reacts but unable to and she slinks forward with a frown, trying to ignore the stares of her siblings as she walks to her father and nuzzles him quietly. Really, talking just yet might get her in trouble.
