Amazing to say how much can change in one year. It was only last year near the end of the Summer did she call out her challenge. Many things have changed for the pack, and it was all for the better, not just for herself, but for them. The pack underneath their former Alpha were low on numbers, hardly ever active, and held no sort of ground within the grounds of Moladion. With her at the top their numbers had grown, the activity had improved, and already she had secured an alliance with the swamp pack and a treaty of sorts with members of a hidden organization. During her reign no pack suffered the onslaught from Flare, but more importantly, from Tobias. She, and she alone, brought a sort of peace within Moladion. And yet...no other Alpha seemed to realize such a feat. A pity really. Then again she did not take this pack for her own to bring peace to all. No...she took the pack to help its members become something and provide her imprint a safe haven.
The schedule for an Alpha was always a busy one. Early that morning she had to teach her young how to hunt a different type of prey, showing them a different technique and when such a technique should be applied. It wasn’t easy having a stubborn son act indifferent, but with the proper motivation he seemed to get the idea. So long as he was within her den he would abide by her rules. She wished he held the same enthusiasm when it came to his teachings, but she did wish Nevermore had a calm bone in her body. Having two children complete opposite of one another wasn’t easy, but before noon they had excelled. Instead of having lunch she offered Flare and Galileo assistance with keeping the borders intact with their fresh scent. Mid-afternoon she provided Cuirass another lesson with his fighting skills, and he was coming along nicely. After his lesson she stopped by Nakato’s den to have a nice chat with the bob-tailed she-wolf, quite glad to see she was coming along well within the pack.
With the sun almost in the position to lower itself the Monster had managed to settle herself on top of a grass knoll that held a few trees to keep her cool. It would soon turn night and once again she would need to be on her feet to hunt at her imprint’s side should he call for her. For now though she would lie here and rest and watch the sunset, quite content and at peace with herself. If someone told her a year ago she would have her own pack she would have laughed. As she laid her ebony skull across her paws, dark sapphire eyes stared straight ahead as she exhaled a heavy sigh, quite satisfied with herself and her pack.
