Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Gods may bleed among mortals...

I’m calm, generally. Even being hunted I have to keep my posture. A superior one it is. I’m a god! What could they do to me? Pain? Torture? Those do not work with me. Not the way they think it does. Pain do not affect me like it affects them. I’m wiser, stronger and above all living beings. Even reduced to their mortal state and feeling their carnal things I know better. I’m not afraid of a pack or any wolves at all. They could try and sneak up to me, but they will fail and they will keep falling each time they try to go against me.

Besides. When I turn my head, she seems surprised and somewhat afraid. Why would I shimmer before her? Even laying on the ground I’m bigger than her. I’m greater. I answer to her questions. Testing her might, her mind. My own intelligence works quicker than anyone could try to understand. Everything I do has a reason. I’m pleased to see her sitting when my story begins and she willingly listens to me. Slowly she reacts, raising slowly against the angels and in my favor. Judging by the way she calls them when she raises to question Emerald. She doesn’t know anything about them. Not truly. My head tilts and I am thinking. This girl is smart!

- Would she? I… Never thought about it that way… Perhaps you’re right! But I can’t really go after her. If they came after me I would never know.

I replied. But the best thing happens. Without even me asking her, she already shows her will to help me. My tail waves in a thankful way when she tells me she didn’t see anyone on the way up here.

- I am Zeus… - I smiled, truthfully on the most part, but how would she know that I am smiling because she fell for my bait - I’m sorry for telling you all this so quickly. It is just… that pack… I’m alone against them. Well, not entirely alone, I have a good friend who is helping me watch another pack. That pack right there is friends with others and they could have already sent someone after me from any of those. And all I wanted was for them to stop hunting me.

I explained, trying to make her feel more comfortable. She spoke, smiling at me, small but a smile.

- I hope they do. It is hard to live this way.

Perhaps she could do something for me. But I wouldn’t ask that from her. It would be too much to ask from her. Well, I already did ask her. Without asking. It is too hard to explain for any mortal mind to understand.
