Tithe
To take what I'm owed.
Pay me my dues.
For a moment Tithe’s hackles rose and settled again as his eyes caught a subtle movement from the other wolf. It almost seemed like he had been repositioning from a crouch, either to attack or flee. The large black wolf’s head tilted ever slightly in curiosity and interest in the actions of the stranger, but his guard instantly went up. All of his body language suggesting wary neutrality he approached Cuirass, dark nose working to pick up any truths he could about this sly speaking male.
The subtle scent of the plains wafted through his senses. Now when his fur bristled, it stayed. His experience with Tobias still lingering on his mind as well as the words of others who had encounters with the Asteraian pack. However, no true ill had befallen him from his interactions with the wolves of the plains. Truth be told, he had been mere steps away from becoming one of them. He studied this seemingly sly individual, one that he could have come to call brother.
“No, I was thinking. The ripples were far more interesting than a wall.” He answered bluntly. Another brief pause before a very small smile crossed the man’s face, figuring he could take a small chance. “You smell of Asteraia. I have met your Alpha, as well as Tobias. They had invited me to stay.” Slowly his coat settled against his body again. There was no need for them to not be pleasant with each other. While he spoke, he continued to study the wolf he encountered. He wanted to know more about this young man, as well as the pack he came from. There was a curiosity that ran deep in the young knight.
“Perhaps you could tell me what I am missing out on?” His smile continued to be pleasant. “Or maybe we test ourselves against each other? After all, we could have been brothers in arms.” Maybe this wolf would could satisfy both his curiosities, as well as create a friendly, healthy, rivalry.
