Having Achilles within the plains seemed quite a difficult thing to believe, let alone, actually witness. Would anyone ever truly believe that the young King of the Angels would dare come to the lands that held Tobias and all wolves that walked a completely different way in life? She was sure Heyel would strike her down with lightning for being far too close to one of his own, and yet there was no storm cloud in the sky, and so her life would be spared – for now. Tick Tock had no ill will towards the Angel pack, or any other pack for that matter, she had done nothing to them to deserve their noses turned up from her. The only pack that truly had a reason to look upon her with seething hate were the ones that belonged to the Forest Guardian. Tick Tock was pleased to have the swamp pack confirm their alliance, the former lands of Demons, seemed quite ideal to link up with, and having her daughter amongst the top ranks didn’t hurt either. As for the other packs she would wait patiently pondering whether the Alpha would make their approach or send one of their own. This was a sanctuary for those that craved the flesh of wolves, a beacon of acceptance for those that were different from the others, and she would do everything she could do uphold that. Tick Tock allowed the rumors to spread and only those worthy to know about what was truly going on within the fields would discover the truth – by either taking a visit or joining the pack.
It did not bother her to have Achilles close to her as they walked. With her motherhood wavering away she didn’t feel that overprotectiveness cloud her thoughts. Turning her dial around those cold sapphire eyes watched the ebony child of Tobias, not minding his presence at all, tilting her dial to invite him to come closer. Yet the boy seemed so very set in his way, choosing to continue to trail after them, and not wanting to bother him she returned her attention to the Angel King. Audits twitched as she listened to Achilles begin to reveal what plan he had for a possible treaty. An alliance would be more preferable, but she understood the need to take this particular relationship between the two packs a bit slow. Though truly she needed to instill a form of trust with Achilles. The very idea that the two could work together, despise anyone’s doubts, was quite a clever ploy. Tick Tock was well aware just what sort of power she had, especially having Tobias and other wolves like their kind within her fields, and she was willing to elevate that reputation – knowing it would be beneficial to keep her pack well protected. Looking to Achilles her cool words were slip softly putting her own thoughts on the matter at hand.
“It all sounds fair and good for both our packs. Though I would like to add a clause about wars? I am not one that would ever put my pack in harms way, but if we need to protect our own I would appreciate some aide, be it your healers or providing food. The same would be provided for your own. As for warriors that would have to be something they would volunteer, I understand that your wolves may not feel inclined to protect some of our own, just as my wolves might feel the same way.”
It would seem that Tick Tock was giving Achilles a generous glance within the fields she owned. Each step she took was purposeful, dial held in a comfortable manner, her stride foreboding and yet subtly she was at comfort. After all this was her home and she had nothing to worry about. Through the tall grasses they would walk, the summer breeze gently tugging their claws within their fur. Twisted mind would coil as a trickle of thoughts mixed with concern seemed to unravel as Tick Tock quietly pondered on these particular items. She knew what she wanted and she knew what she wanted for her pack. She wanted them to be strong, she wanted them to be successful, but she was hesitant on placing trust with a wolf that she did not live with, or even know very well. Pausing for a moment atop a grassy knoll she would turn her head towards the Angel King speaking just as softly as before.
“Achilles, I think the wolves we both protect, although different, are also the same. Your Mother extended kindness to me and I have not forgotten that. Perhaps as we build this trust your young ones can come and play, or if your mothers would feel better, my own could come across and have some sort of...play date. Perhaps our warriors could spar one day and I know my healer would love to discuss such medical topics with others like her.”
Dark sapphire eyes stared the Angel King down, her entire mauled face remained emotionless, as she stood there in such an eerily quiet way. She was still. Perhaps too still. Tick Tock was quite a clever creature. She knew that she would be held accountable for the wolves that lived within her pack, she knew her wolves could get a bit carried away, and yet she would do her best to ensure that they do not attack or harm any pack wolf within Diveen. Through her travels within the loner lands she overheard whispers of the Angels traveling, joining different packs, and holding an assortment of high ranks. Though she knew very well that the Angel line was rather large and not everyone would join a pack...and not everyone would follow what their Angel King would say. It only takes one wolf to destroy a name and a reputation. Trust was such a delicate thing.
“There is one thing Achilles...should any Angel, be they a member of your pack or not, ever come and attack my own or attempt to take my members or even my pack...I will see it as a breach of our treaty and it shall be terminated. We can discuss the problem and correct it and reinstate the treaty, should it be a true accident, but If I am expected to keep my wolves in line and keep them from harming your own, then I expect you to control those within your pack and those that share your blood.”
