Things were still quiet at her home. Little Scarlett and Zelda were growing up so fast and she knew, somewhere out there, her little Midna was too. It gave her so much time now and it was odd thinking that already nearly two years have passed since her wonderful daughters all came into her life. Her brother though had been keeping her busy since their mother’s passing anyway. It was for the best, she would likely be constantly with their mourning father otherwise and that wouldn’t bode well for her own heart and soul. She missed her mother dearly, but she had lived well until her last day when finally time simply claimed her, something she knew that not even her father could protect her against.

Twenty-four years old, it sounded impossible and it was such a long period of time for any one wolf to live and her mother had lived through so much in those long years. Some of them felt like whole different lifetimes just hearing the stories of her owning a pack, her previous mates and children she had, as well as the time before the fall? She had been through so much…. And her father made her last years of retirement her very best and she knew her father knew this it was just time, oddly, was all he needed to recover.

She moved through the freelands this day, traveling back home after simply exploring the open lands. She missed her home in the plains of Asteraia, but still even though she had heard its current ruler invited the family of Iblis and Rhae back Zeltzin felt… uneasy. To her that female didn’t sound too different from what Jaidah, her mother-in-laws killer, was. They were cut from similar molds, murderous killers that simply would hurt others for fun. It was terrible. Invitation or not if circumstances were just a little different she was certain this “Monster” of Asteraia would be just as much of a thread as Jaidah. And that was simply the end of it.

She didn’t know where Lucero was, but she did know that he felt the same as his father. She moved through the open area, her light brown fur that looked so much like her mother’s billowing lightly in the fall breeze. Winter was coming yet again and soon spring would be back and it would mark a whole year since she had last seen her love Lucero and her daughter Midna who both had gone on some kind of journey. She sighed looking to the bright blue sky that would be probably one of the last before the perpetual grey of winter would set in along with the cold and snow that seemed to befall Moladion.

She smiled, despite everything that was going on she was still happy with her life. She had her daughters, her brothers and while her father was sad he hadn’t been wretched away as Iblis had been when Rhae had passed. Amoxtli was keeping her busy probably for good reason and she was happy he was giving her purpose and allowing her to be a healer like her mother… Maybe she should try to take her and Sen’s place as Shaman for her brother… It was something to consider and she was sure if her brother would never tell her no. She slowly started her walk home her tail waving lightly behind her still plenty of time to consider.
