Everlast’s words leaked through Inanna’s confusion. The puppy looked away from the white female, a little abashed. To redeem herself though, she continued to glare from her place under Zeus. After all, the only other wolf around was her, chasing her. It was most likely her who was trying to eat her. Inanna was not going to let herself, or Zeus, be eaten by this strange woman. She looked up at her with another ‘gr’ and snuggled deeper into Zeus’ fur, adamite that this was where she needed to be and stay until Everlast left them.
Her suspicions were muddled as the two adults seemed to exchange friendly words, or at least not harsh ones. She watched them through narrowed eyes until at last her terrorizer left their company. Pleased by this, the puppy looked up with her two colored eyes into her hero. “Will you take me home, Big Wolf?” With Everlast gone the terror had left the puppy. A smile returned to her young face. Small tail pattered happily against her and his body. The look she gave him was pure innocent adoration, her body starting to squirm with the general energy of being young. “Or!” Her voice exclaimed hopefully. “Will you explore with me? I bet you know all sorts of fun things! Do you know where to find shiny things?” All of the sudden she bounced away from his side and bounded around him. “I bet you do! You look like you know a lot! Can you show me? Teach me to be fierce!” She bared her teeth. “That way no one will eat me!”
