Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

With a broken wing she carries her dreams...

Grounded.

Everlyse had grounded all three of her daughters for sneaking out of the den and meeting up with other pups from all over. It confused Lailah as to why her mother was so upset with them going out and being social, all she had gotten on the matter were some mumbles about boys. The little angel girl had not argued though, slightly relieved to be pulled away from the social situation that was turning sour really quick with some not nice pups trying to cause trouble. The only thing that did make her hesitant in leaving was that boy Orifel. When her eyes locked onto his, something magical had happened that she hadn't been able to explain. Her closest guess as to why he made her feel the way she did was because he was her imprint. Her mother and father had told her stories about when they imprinted and what it was like, the way everything seemed to fall into place and all you could see was them. Being pulled away from him made her sad, despite the fact that she didn't even know him, only his name.

Lailah wasn't the only one of the girls to have found the other half of her soul that day, after many late night whisper sessions with her sister Semele it seemed that she too had found her imprint. It was a secret that both sisters would keep from their mother for as long as possible. If Everlyse ever found out, not only would Semele and Lailah be dead, but their imprints as well. For whatever reason their mother did not like boys, other than her mate Reich and her sons. The small white girl would however confide in her father soon, trusting him to keep it a secret from her mother. Lailah had a unique bond with each member of her family, one of her closest being with her father, who understood her quiet nature better than anyone else and would understand her drive to go find her imprint and be near him. She loved her crazy little family, emphasis on the crazy sometimes.

The small shadow angel felt uneasy the whole day. She couldn't figure out what made her feel so anxious, but it only added to how restless she felt confined in the den. For some reason, she knew it had to do with Orifel, and that she needed to get out and find him. Semele seemed to sense this and begged their mother until she was taken out to go for a walk, allowing Lailah to sneak out under her father's less than watchful gaze (although he saw her leave, he just let her go because he knew wolves like her needed to get out). She moved quickly down the mountain, her movements quiet as she didn't even hesitate at the border. She didn't know how she knew, but she knew where to find her imprint. It was like her soul was her compass and she would follow it wherever it may lead in order to find him. She needed to find peace in the knowledge that he was okay and just see him again.

Swiftly she glided along the riverside, blue and green eyes scanning the surrounding area for the white and cinnamon form that would stand out against the fall scenery. The air was cold but it did not affect her through her soft, plush coat. She finds him stopped along the riverside, her mood immediately perking up. She scurried over towards him, her ears falling back shly and her body lowering ever so slightly, yet her tail wagged happily; even with her imprint she didn't know how to interact. She stopped just before him, feeling whole once more now that the distance between them had been closed.

Mixed eyes looked at him in concern as they landed on the injuries, her breath in taking sharply. "You're hurt," she whispered so quietly he may barely hear her beautiful, caring voice. It made her sad to see him hurt, her beautiful face frowning slightly. She wanted to help him, but she didn't know how to, neither of her parents were healers and thus had not taught her anything. The small angel girl wanted to ease his discomfort somehow, but didn't know how. Instinct told her to get closer, to touch him, but her body would not move. She was much to shy and awkward to do something that far out of her comfort zone, even being out here alone with him was hard; the imprint bond and her shyness conflicting on what to do, how to act around him.

Quietly she took a step closer, getting a better look at his side. "What happened?" she whispered again, staring deeply into his rainbow eyes. Her eyes watered slightly, completely out of her control. She cared for him despite not even knowing him, he was important and she hated seeing him hurt. If she could help it, he'd never get hurt ever again. Call her childish for caring so deeply and getting so attached, but that was Lailah: the sweetest, most caring girl that anyone would ever meet. It was hard to dislike her.
