Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

I raced through the fields, her form sleek and smooth once again. I stretched out, creamy brown form tearing through the grass at my favorite pace- a dead sprint. Laughter erupted from my maw as I ran, directed at the wolf who was currently trying to keep up with me. I loved him dearly, but he was nowhere near as fast as me, and I preferred to keep it that way. We were parents now, but that didn't mean that the fun had to end. The pups were left with Taliesin for the day, and it seemed like we had the world at our paws- at least for a day. It felt so good to stretch my limbs outside the cramped space of the densite, without care or worry for the pups that were underneath my care.

I loved my children. Despite my initial reservations that I would reject them like I had rejected my pregnancy, I truly cared for them, although my motherly instincts were somewhat lacking. I would rather teach them to run and hunt and catch fireflies than responsibility and maturity. How could I teach them something that I didn't know myself? Luckily I had a network of wolves who could perhaps fill in the gaps that I couldn't help but miss.

But today was not the day for thinking about parenting. I pulled up to the bank of the lake, the slowly sinking sun casting a golden light over the water. The mid-fall weather was cool, and I touched a paw to the water, shivering at the coldness of it. Now that gave me an idea. I shot a grin at my heart and soul, jumping in the water and sending cold droplets of water towards him.

"I dare you to come for a swim with me." I said teasingly, standing knee-deep in the water. "If I can take it, I'm sure you can too." Of course... I wasn't planning on going in. But Hollowpoint didn't have to know that.
