Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Despoina
A Little Missunderstood

Weather shifted around the land, is seemed to barely affect the mores of Iromar. Humidity and moisture soaked the land, creating a constant fog and mist. It was a climate Despoina thrived in. The tip of her nose was black as night. As eyes traveled down her body her coat shifted to silver and white. During the day in the mist, she was a shadowy face that could vanish in the mist as fast as she had appeared, while at night all one would see is a pair of hind legs leaving them to bleed.

Today though, she grew bored with the happenings that were around the packland. Wolves were coming and going. Things seemed diplomatic, and adult. It did not interest her in the slightest. A heavy sigh and she padded out out the packland, leisurely drifting over this trail or that. In truth she was entirely too bored. She had found her place in her home, wore the title of ‘more wolf’ as a mantle of pride. But that was only part of who she was. Encounters with others had led her to think fairly unpleasant thoughts. Unpleasant coupled with unbidden day dreams that made her smile almost cruelly. Whimpers of pain, whimpers of desire. Was there really a difference?

Her paws pressed into the dry dirt of the trails while she wandered, mind lost in thought. There was that problem of that white wolf she had stumbled across. She had spoken of hunting fairies, being a ghost, and she had whisked away, leaving Depoina breathless. The scent that had followed her haunted the girl’s thoughts and dreams. She did not know how to handle the attraction. On any given day she wanted to hunt that white one down and just follow her. What was worse, was she did not know why. Once there she would have no idea what to say, and she did not want to say anything. Her mouth just watered for something, but for once it was not for blood. Any bite that would be delivered to her would not be one to draw blood…

In her roaming she found herself in the fields and a scent floated to her. Steely eyes sharpening to attention she changed her direction to follow this new smell. When she came across a young wolf, her smile grew sly. The pup appeared to be lost. She vowed not to harm the innocent. But that did not mean she couldn’t play with them. As she drew closer the pup smelled of the mountains, causing Despoina to hesitate. Spirane was where she had spent her childhood, it was still the home of her sister. This alone was enough save the pup from her more cruel of natures.

”Mountain pup.” She greeted, her voice a dry drawl. ”What brings you to the fields so far from home?” Her nostrils flared. “Your family might be missing you.”
