Samus was a little ashamed that the presence of her father made her feel a million times better. More than anything she wanted to be independent, but in a way she had to admit that her parents love and affection was something quite desirable. And there was certainly no shortage of it, aloof as they were as parents, they made quite good friends. But Sam could only see the fierce love of a father in Hollowpoint's eyes as he approached her hurriedly, after he had realized that something was wrong. She wasn't ashamed of her wounds, though at least one of the cuts would surely scar, but she was ashamed that she had gone so far from the den to prove her independence and ended up getting hurt.

The girl whimpered at the question, pressing up against her father's leg as he ran his nose up and down her body. "Well, I's meetin' a new friend, Nym. And jus' as we was plannin' on what to do, this wolf..." Samus trailed off, looking up at him with big, expressive eyes. "He came out the bushes and attacked us! I tried to fight back an' protect my friend, but I couldn't..." She seemed sad at this, lowering her head in what seemed like shame.

Her dad's inquiries earned a shrug from her. "I guess ah'm okay. But these cuts hurt really bad. Ya think I'm gonna get a cool scar?" Samus giggled, her tail giving a few small wags. The next question caused her brow to furrow slightly. Who had done this? He hadn't spoken at all, not for the whole attack. But Samus couldn't forget the face of that brute if she tried. The image of the teeth snapping down towards her face seemed to be burned into her memory.

"He was... uh, black. With bright purple eyes. An' he didn't talk, not once." Samus said with a self-assured nod, confident that her information was correct. "Auntie Dany came and she kicked his tail real good and sent 'em runnin'!" She said with a wild grin, looking up at her father. Maybe Daenerys could teach her how to do that some day.
