Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

~I hope you smile when you look down on me~

Her little mantra seemed to ramble forever. Her soft lyrics drifted on the wind the rustled the lover’s pelts. She was excited to share her experiences with Kalgalath even if it was for the partial reason that he needed to know whether their relationship could carry on into the duty of Alphess as his mate. To Sebring, every member to knew was a friend and in some ways a mentor, like Hellene. The healer had taken the time to help her, Khaleesi and Daenerys with learning how to heal. Sebring felt more comfortable knowing that relationships with the members of Aurora were multifaceted. Besides being welcomed by those she met Sebring was gaining lost confidence in her spare time. She knew most of the ins and outs of Aurora’s terra and she was also gaining knowledge of hunting by herself. She laughed at the memories of her failed attempts to ’fly’ with the birds and was almost startled by the delicate trace of Kalgalath’s tongue along her lips. She felt a purr rising in her throat and let it rumble into her voice. She almost forgot what she was thinking… She could barely fit any coherent ideas in with the overwhelming sensations that Kalgalath was creating within her, but she fought onwards her words struggling to come out with clear punctuation.

Her mottled knight seemed not to notice. They must have both understood that what they did to each other had an effect on their abilities to function. I can teach you how to hunt better, sweetling. Now that you are stronger and your endurance has returned, we shall go hunting together. Fear not, your nose shall soon be dirtless. She couldn’t help but laugh, her golden pools glittered with happiness (if one could imagine). Sebring looked to her lover catching his playful wink, making her smile even broader. Her tongue traced up the curve of his jaw to the base of his ear, giving her the vantage point. She nibbled playfully and gently before pulled away to finish to her answer. But there was a distinct change in atmosphere as she remembered the little pup Tarly. No amount of explanation could get Sebring to relinquish the feeling of anguish that began to consume her, but she attempted to let Kalgalath’s voice soothe her, Tarly's story is sad, though he does not know the whole story himself. Much of his fear is of his own making. His mother was deceived by a brute and ended up being raped. Her frame was slight, and be it that or heartbreak, she died giving birth to the pups. For whatever reason, the pups were raised by a kalak named Shae and she then placed each of the four pups with a different family. One remained in Moondown Shadows, where their mother had lived, to be adopted by the Alpha there, Striker. Tarly was placed here with Magic. Another was placed in Bright Moon with her uncle there, and now that I think about it, I cannot recall if there was a fourth. There may have been, but I do not know where it ended up. But as I said, Tarly's fear is his own. He was well cared for as a pup and continues to be here. I do not know what it is that ails him, unfortunately, but I wish I did.

But Sebring felt nothing but the glare of her father’s bloody eyes and killing lust. Even the wind began to carry a tinge of smoke and fire. She buried herself into her mottled knight’s pelt hoping to rid herself of the nightmarish fantasy, but it seemed to emanate from within herself. Save the exception of Kalgalath, Sebring had found nothing that would or could quiet these fears and hells. Shh…shh my love be still. The ashen fea heard the baritone lyrics rumbling somewhere in the distance and sense of gentle cocooning surrounded her, but she couldn’t see her protector. But with each new word the black void began to swallow the pain and images floating before her. But the time between the night she had last lain with Kalgalath had been long enough to let that blackness fully disappear. And so she had to fight and cling to every word her lover whispered to her. Though he was truly talking at a level tone of voice all of reality had been dimmed by the hall in which she existed. I will never let anyone hurt you my Sebring, my dove. You are safe with me, here, always. Sebring sucked in a breath of air, Kalgalath’s scent fully penetrating her senses. She let herself exist with the bounds of her lover’s embrace.

Life is not fair, but it does not purposefully seek out the innocent. All we can do is protect those weaker than us with the hopes that when we are weak, another will be there to protect us in turn. Grey lids lifted up to reveal her dampened pools of gold, but she could only focus on the changing shades of grays in Kalgalath’s fur, as his voice sought to pull her out of the pain for another time. Sebring took in controlled breaths, her exhalations very slow. And for the first time since he had found her, Sebring couldn’t find words. Her mind had frozen over trying to block of the pain herself. She looked into Kalgalath’s icy pools finding comfort in their complexion and makeup. Her mouth opened as she searched for words to fill her mouth but she was silenced by nothing and everything.

"They’re only baby scars," She whispers.
