Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

There was surely a fight, that much we can all discern and yet, Asteraia’s Monster continues on seemingly unaffected. There are always pros and cons to such events. One can say it is a good thing that the power remains balanced within Moladion and yet, one could also make note that now, a power hungry wolf still roams the plains and forests of the free lands. Kings and queens often lose their bravado when a throne is taken and so, they seldom pose a threat it seems. Princes and princesses may, perhaps, but seldom their fallen parents. And so, had the Monster lost, perhaps she would have remained as such. But now, her challenger roams defeated and free. I seldom find myself curious as to why they do not take the defeated as a prisoner, eating away at them for answers or slyly bringing them over to the side of loyalty. I had considered such actions with the white she-wolf who had come for Glorall. She is gone, though, as far as I can tell. There is no use making peace with a ghost.

Nonetheless, I have no doubts it was the same wolf whom has targeted Asteraia several times that had returned to do so again. If it is the case, then I am sure Tristan will bring me news of such a thing; he is, after all, tasked with her curiosities. What is it that drives her? Where does she stand when she considers the other packs of Moladion? They are all good questions, all valid in their importance. I desire to keep my own safe and, sometimes, to do so, one must stoop a little. The others would thank me, though they do not admit it. What harm is there in keeping a wolf satiated?

I hear him behind me and I make an effort to slow my movements, turning back to eye him off briefly as I motion for him to come alongside me. We ought to continue the patrol, after all, with the coming shift of seasons. Besides, several children have seemingly roamed long passed the borders of Glorall. Their parents have not raised concerns, however, and so I must believe that it is not an unintentional disappearance on their behalf. My own children are prone to such things, after all. Eloah has taken her leave, and so, I must expect it from others too. Still, we ought to be weary. A lack of blood does not always mean a lack of malicious intent.

As he comes along side me, I give him a curt nod of greeting before he begins to address the issue at hand. He is straight forward and succinct, something that hardly comes as a surprise now. It seems that our discussion last time we had met has brought about a change in him- a positive one, at that. I enjoy straight forward discussion and thus, I am quick to respond with another nod, my eyes swinging to meet his. ”I am very curious to learn what you have discovered,” I say evenly, a brow rising up as I continue, ”I am sure this Jaidah is a curiosity in more ways than one.” After all, who would go back over and over? Who would have such tenacity? For now, though, I do my best to remain composed, concealing the best of my curiosity as we continue along the beaten paths of Glorall’s borders.
