Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

If by life or death I can protect you,

Ailith's life had meant something when she was on the tundra, had meant something when she had had her children Kirsikka and Cadwan, but now it meant nothing again. She was trying to find a purpose again, to keep the darkness that lingered inside of her from consuming her again. But she could feel it, the icy tendrils creeping through her veins and getting ever closer to her heart and what remained of her sanity. No longer did she have her children and their love to force it back into the cage she had constructed for it when she left the tundra, with Kirsikka out discovering the capabilities of her abilities and Cadwan no longer desiring to be constrained to his family it had broken loose once more. She could feel her sins crawling on her back, each night the memories of all the lives she had taken so easily, the blood in the snow, haunted her. The once mighty assassin was crumbling, and all the skeletons were about to come out of the closet.

She couldn't stay on the mountain, the temptation to throw herself off the edge was too high and she wasn't ready to give up just yet. Large snowy paws carried her down the mountain at a sprint, despite her age, her strength was still visible as her muscles rippled beneath her thick pelt. Ailith did not know where she was going, only that she needed to go, to get away from the shadows that loomed over her there. She was a blinding white flash as she ran across Moladion, slowing to a stop only when her muscles and lungs burned and screamed for her to do so. Her icy blue gaze shot around momentarily, taking in her surroundings to figure out just where she was and just how far she had run: the woodlands. Mindlessly she started to move again, wandering and quietly hoping to just get lost.

The air was cold, but it would never be cold to Ailith. Moladion winters would never compare to that on the tundra, where the ice would claim you if you let your guard down for just a moment, wanted to rest for just a moment. Her footsteps were not quiet as she moved, she did not fear what she may attract, she welcomed it, even if it was her own death. The white wolf's mind was not focused enough to realize how close she was to danger, only when she nearly stepped upon him did reality come crashing back down for Ailith. She backed up quickly from the sleeping male, his form massive compared to her. She stopped and stared at him with her cold blue eyes, almost frozen in her place, though not from fear. What would this monster do after being so rudely awaken? Call it morbid curiosity, though she was hardly a masochist.

I will...
