PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

15.3hh - Gypsy Vanner - Lead of the Inlet

The women followed Amica a few steps behind her, grinning to each other as they moved. Though Taika was still almost too young to understand what the autumn meant to mares, she did understand the attraction of a kind hearted man and a woman who found comfort in him. She understood there was a deep loyalty to those who showed kindness to others, and she could see the eagerness and anticipation the blind mare held for Pagan’s presence. As they all approached the boundary of the Vulcan land, the mother and daughter fell behind.

“Don’t worry, Pagan!” Taika called out to the stallion. “You can cross the border!”

“We won’t claim you for the Peak!” Taytim added her own assurance before the two carried on to themselves, keeping an eye on their friend.

----

The stallion had been coming back to Crossing and lingering in the area for longer than he normally would have. Others of the islands had been scarce, but that was not the reason for his continued visits. He had wanted to see Amica again, make sure she had settled into life on the island. It was a well known fact the Vulcans took care of their own, watching each other’s backs. Leaving Amica in the hands of the Amazons, or more specifically in the hands of Taytim and Taika, he was sure the woman would be safe. It had started to surprise him how much he wanted to make sure she was happy as well. While he had circled his home he had found himself wondering if the cool tundra plains could have been a home for her as well. The autumn had set in quickly, the nip in the air reminding him that winter was coming on fast. Soon the waters to the Crossing would be uncrossable. And so, the vanner dived into the waves, wanting to see her one last time before the winter set in to keep him on his island.

His journey brought him to the base of the Peak, the three figures coming towards him. White ears perked from under his tri-tones mane and his lifted his voice in a whinny of greetings. As soon as Amica came close enough that he could safely approach her, he stepped forward, holding his nose out to her in greeting.

“Good day! I do hope you are enjoying your time here.” He did not mention he had been visiting her on and off. During those visits he had not seen her, and had assumed she had not known he was there. He decided she may not want to know he had been lingering along the border. “Have the Vulcans been as welcoming as I hoped they would?” He smiled at the shapes behind her. “As least the fairy girl who found you when we first met?”
