Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Return to Lunar Children

My body had already begun to shift, it's state more erratic and with it my mood dived and soared. Carnifex was rather dull with me when I snapped at him, usually over nonsense issues that I would later ignore and pretend had never been there when I cuddled up to his enormous figure. It was to be expected after all and after a winter with me I was certain my beast understood what it meant. It was not as if I posed a true threat to him - he was a dragon and I a mere deer in his presence but he put up with it anyways. The urge had come a few nights past to seduce my lover but I had restrained, wanting to be sure my body was ready to accept him and to burgeon with children. It wasn't what I really wanted but I figured if they were a part of my beast then I could live with it. Lord knows the fun part had yet to begin.

A silver flash catches my pink eyes and my tongue laves across my lips in anticipation. The water will be chilled so I would need to get in and out and sun for a bit but a warm belly would be well savored. With careful finesse I slink towards the water's edge, peering at the gentle liquid and readying myself for a pounce but a voice, a strange presence, startles me. A growl bursts through my lips in instinctive response, my entire coat bristling as I spin to face this handsome devil, watching as he rounds me and gestures to the water. I am unsure of him from the moment I lay eyes on him. He moves like silk, stealthy and precise, but he talks as if we know each other. It should relax me and it does partially, my eyes flicking from his to the fish.

"I suppose. The water is a bit chillier than I would like," I say with a sigh before an idea courses through me. My eyes snap to his, smile becoming conniving. I hesitate only when I see eyes that are almost familiar to me. "Would you mind lending me a paw? I bet you are much better at catching than I'll ever be," I say with a simper, trying to ignore the icy touch of wariness that creeps upon me. I move away now towards the water, glancing over my shoulder with a teasing grin, sucked back into using my wiles for gifts. Not that he would ever get to touch me - I was claimed property buddy.
