Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Angelic steps made wary falls upon the snow ridden earth. It was unlike the girl to be cautious, but now she made sure to look over her shoulder every few minutes instead of hours. Her wintry palette would turn, expecting a soul of some sort to be tracking… tracing… shadowing her. Fed up, she shushed her fluttery heartbeats and willed herself to breathe. If she had not come across another varg for days, then why should she be so on edge now? It was a question she could procure a rational answer to quite easily. She'd entered another realm. The multi colored ess had traveled to a different part of this god forsaken earth and had picked up on the presence of others as soon as she'd crossed some kind of lawless boundary. This was not the country she was born into. It was not the same. And yet the thought of even allowing herself to be seen by another, much less converse, had been drilled into her head as dangerous and revealing. She couldn't help or hope to alter this portion of her brains chemistry. It simply was.

Mixed eyes surveyed her surroundings twice before she slowed to a stop and shifted her weight to her rump. With days between her and her past, she could take an hour or two to catch her breath. So far she had only had a few long breaks and a coupling of very short ones. When was the last time she had gotten a good amount of sleep? Finished a meal? And for that matter, taking a potty break? Bri's exhales shifted the atmosphere around her to wisps of smoke. Winter was a time of the year she despised the most. She had been born too early. Winter was her least favorite season in regard to her time as a youngling. Those events had taught her there was no such place as home. And that one should never be either angel or demon. And by god, it was taboo to put the two together to create a breed that resembled Nephilim in a way. A little too kind and a little too dark. The princess shook herself, dislodging a gathering of crystals from her bodice. It felt too similar here, really, which made her even more anal about checking and rechecking the space between each of the coniferous trees dotting the landscape as ticks do a mongrel. Above, the clouds blocked out the darkening sky. If there was a spot in her that she would confess to being soft to… it was reserved for the stars. Clouds… darkness… cold… needles along branches.. the smell of others. It made her feel trapped. A creature reserved for a snowglobe. Drowning for eternity while being shook up and breathless.

She wanted to see those stars.

So, with lack of sleep playing the main role of her theater, she looked up, jowls slackening to part ever so slightly as her two tone dreamers begged for the clouds to part… if only for a moment. Remind her that she was not going to be trapped forever. That there was still a breath she could take. And if this globe offered an inch, she would greedily hunger for the mile.
