Like any parent there was a time and place when they wanted to have a special moment with the life they had created. Though at this point she wasn’t quite sure if this particular pup had that much life within him. Always she saw him lying down somewhere, idly, lazily, quite content with becoming a snorting boulder. The other shadowy pup was always eager to play, to roam around, and all that energy needed to be squashed out. Always she was with her daughter teaching her what she deemed worthy to pass on, answering the young girls’ questions, and helping her learn not only how to speak more properly, but Latin as well. Heyel may be displeased that she knew Latin, but it was what she learned during her time when she was being cared for by the she-wolf that had taken her in after her entire pack chased her out. Latin was also the language of the Angels and one day it may be beneficial for her children to know just what the other was saying about them. Every now and then the Monster was able to get her only son to come on these lessons, but most of the time he preferred to sleep, and so this morning she was wanting to take him out on one of those lessons. She wanted to provide him a moment of Mother and Son time, her way of helping the boy learn what he needed to know and anything else he thought he would want to learn. Today she wanted to take him out on an easy hunt, one that his young and small frame could bare, and then teach him the organs, the insides, and the best tactics to take down prey or enemy. These were things she will make sure he knows, very, very well.
Dark ears twitched back and forth to listen to his small paw steps as they made the familiar squishing noise of a creature walking along the banks of the river. Though that sound would cease and was replaced with a moment of silence followed by an agitated and abrupt huff of air. Hearing his stubborn light tone caused the ebony Mother to grow still for a moment. Not only was she Alpha, but she was his Mother, and as instincts demanded he would respect that. Instead of yelling at him to come she continues to walk straight ahead while the boy continued to sit, his own way of defying her. One day he will grow, one day he’ll get big and strong, but even when he does, she will still put him in his place. So, she would call out to the young boy, her cold lyrics smooth and encouraging despite his demanding retaliation.
“It is a surprise Gunsynd, come on.”
As she walks away from her son, assured he would eventually come along as he should, she would stop for a moment. His voice wavered slightly with that questioning tone that was perfect with catching her attention. Turning her body slightly around her dark sapphire eyes would look upon his forest green hued eyes. As he exclaims his question Tick Tock remained silent as she stared at him. Why he would ask such a thing she did not know. Any leftover scent from Jaidah or Reaver was gone. After having the lands as her own for an entire year it wasn’t that difficult of a task to achieve. It did not bother her that he asked. It wasn’t as if speaking the name of the former failed Queen was a taboo. Rather she was puzzled that Lonhro had even known such a thing, the boy was an oddity all his own, after all. With an indifferent nod in affirmation, she spoke firmly to the boy, giving him the truth, having nothing to hide from him.
“It did and I took it.”
Without anything else that needed to be said, which truly it did not, she turned around ready to continue her walk until she heard his question once more. Shaking her head she spoke aloud for the boy to hear as she made a slow lumber forward, allowing the boy a chance to catch up.
“Why would I give the pack away to a son that refuses to follow? How can I give the pack to my son when he does not wish to learn something new today?”
It would be best if Gunsynd followed his Monster should he want to get any of his answers from her.
