It hadn't been the most enlightening of journeys and yet, it had satiated her curiosity for the time being at least. Asteraia seemingly had changed since Jaidah's rule, or at least what Malina had heard of it and yet, that did not mean each and every part of it had changed. In fact, it had left more questions than answers, and if she had to be honest, she wasn't sure she'd get those answers any time soon. After all, the boy she had met was clever and she had no doubt he'd discover the truth of her identity - or at least hierarchical position - in due time. She wondered, then, how he and his kingdom would react to it, if at all. Would they see it as a lie or merely as a cautionary action? She often forgot that others had not been raised in the same fashion as she and, as such, there seemed to be quite large divides between their understanding of the world and those within it. That included their understanding of the actions some had to take, and for what reason they were taken.

Nonetheless, it had given her enough to at least consider what Daenerys had asked of her. It seemed foolish to make any decisions based on such a short venture and yet, she had to at least consider their options; was it smart to extend a paw to Asteraia or should Spirane maintain a healthy distance? Which of the two options was most probable and which was the healthiest for the pack? Alliances had never truly been Malina's strong point. Judgement, either. She had given Covet and even Aaliyah's children the benefit of the doubt and neither had proved to be good decisions. So, what of this?

Daenerys' call hardly came as a surprise and so, Malina had been swift in her response. From the lowlands, she had responded with her own short melody before she begun to climb the slopes of the mountain. It felt good to do so and even better to see results; she had grown... weak, for lack of a better word, since the birth of Moonfeather and Israfel and yet, it seemed her body had begun to return to its taut, thin self. In any case, she had begun to feel much more like herself and not just physically at that. She had purpose now. It felt strange at times to find that purpose under any other wolf and yet, she understood it to be simply nostalgia. She hadn't been under Heyel's service for years and... well, Daenerys didn't have a habit of giving her attitude and sass. That thought made her smile, a fond reminder of the wolf that Heyel had been, and it kept her amused as she ambled towards the figure of Daenerys. She did her best to wipe it away before she cleared her throat to announce her presence and yet, it still managed to linger ever so slightly in the corners of her lips.

"You look well, Daenerys," she observed, her head tilted slightly as she briefly assessed their leader - it was good to see, after all. Nonetheless, she had to restrain that part of herself and so, she moved her eyes passed their queen and turned back, awaiting the other that had been called. "Tithe, it seems, is making good progress here. I am glad. I think he suits the scent of the mountains more than the scent of Tobias."

She shrugged off her comment as she returned her eyes to Daenerys, unafraid to what reaction such words might bring; Malina was no queen and so, she did not have to worry about what she said so much. Besides, Tobias would never stop being a sore spot, like an embedded tic. Her remarks were simply a way of... scratching at it.
