Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I scowl as she tells me that she's been eating mushrooms and all the funny side effects she felt afterward. "Mom says not to eat things if you don't know what they are because you could get poisoned and die." Just figured I would throw that in there. It might save her life. I can't help but laugh though when she says that she tried white berries and apparently it didn't go so well. "I don't think it would go any better if I tried everything that looks like me either."

I grin at her in her shared excitement as she tells me that she doesn't care that her mother says she smells. Water monster? I've never heard of this game. "Teach me how to play?" I ask softly. I'm even more excited when she tells me she will teach me how to break the shells. "Yes!" I cheer as I leap in the air. I follow her as she puts her nose to the sand and then I follow on her heels until she stops. Following her gaze, I gasp out loud at the sight of the crab. "Is that one?!" I ask in shock as I look it over. It doesn't look so tough to me. I ruffle myself up, my hair standing on end as I arch my tail over my back and march toward it.

I nod to let her know I'm listening as she instructs me on what to do, watching the crab's beady little eyes as I dance around to the back of it. But the crab is fast and keeps spinning to face me. I scowl. Maybe this will be harder than I thought. "Hey, Inanna, distract it! Bark at it or something." I tell her, waiting for the crab to look at her before I launch myself as hard as I can toward it's back. I feel my paws slam into it's back but at the same time, the crab brings up both claws, one clamping on air but the other finds the fur of my taiil and yanks hard. "OW!" I scream as I jump straight up, slamming back down on the crab with a snarl this time. "That hurt!" I yell at no one in particular, stomping my paws again until I hear an audible crack. My eyes widen and I snap my gaze to Inanna in shock. "What'd I do?"
