The herbs began to take a hold of the strong alpha and Nakato mentally nodded at that. As she lay next to her, she can hear her breathing begin to slow and her eyes were being held open by sheer will. Tick Tock deserved a good rest more than anyone and the healer was sure to stay by her side until Tobias or the white female returned. It was a peaceful night now that the storm had passed, but as the conversation turned towards puppies, the healer felt her heart beat like lightning in her chest. Families? Did that mean…? Could this be her chance to finally gain permission to have her own cubs before the winter was done? Turning towards the Monster, Nakato gave a small whine. ”Mistress, about that… if I were to have cubs of my own, what would happen? I mean, what are the laws about others having children?” She wasn’t sure if her alpha was coherent enough to answer but now was her best bet to ask. Who else could she gain permission from? While she respected Tobias, he did scare her and she had had one too many nightmares of him murdering her children because she had broken pack law. There was no one else she could turn to so she was banking it all on this. If she could not gain the alpha’s blessing, then she would just have to try to withstand winter’s grasp on her weak heart. She had done it for the last six years of her life. Surely she could handle another winter, right? With her head on her paws, Nakato watched Tick Tock carefully, both to gage her reaction and too keep a watchful eye on her as she began to mend. |
