The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

I am just so broken by the bitterness of loneliness.

Vipera

Piercing green eyes scanned the mouth of the cave with caution as a lithe figure stood unmoving. A deep chill rose from inside the cavern on the wind, surrounding her. The cold seemed to weave around her thick pelt and bite down to her bone. This can't possibly be a good idea. The logical side of her brain fought, yet still she found herself taking a solitary step forward. Her curiosity countering whatever reservations she may have about delving deep into the most talked about cave system in all the land.

I've always wanted one great adventure... this is my chance.

Vipera spoke firmly, as if persuading herself to continue. Steeling her will she took another step forward, paws meeting cool, slick rock. Another step and another, until her pupils began to dilate to accommodate the loss of natural light. Water, or at least she hoped it was, dripped from the ceiling of the cave in no certain pattern. Every plop of liquid as it met ground echoed off the walls and sent a singular chill down her spine.

This is ridiculous, I am not a pup. I am not a coward. Vipera thought in frustration and turned her masked face toward the opening of the cavern. She had already come this far, why back out now? With a new found determination, and a deep breath of musky, damp air, she picked up her pace and trotted deeper into the darkness until her exit could no longer be seen. Her vision had adjusted well enough for her to make out most of what she was up against, and her sense of smell could cover the rest. I'll be fine. She chanted inside her head as she took in her surroundings. She came, after all, to explore. Not slip and fall to her death. As she looked around there wasn't a lot to be seen, and her nose wasn't giving away much either, but she couldn't seem to shake the feeling that she was going to find something big. And the farther she walked, the more she felt that perhaps she wasn't truly alone.
