Halcyon knew little about their parents past and the thought of Isolde leaving in such a way made him worry. The blood line of Rhae and Iblis might have been noble at one point, but they started off as loners, always wandering the free lands of Moladion in search of their place in the world. In time, he may understand why his sister chose to roam, but for now it made his smile fade slightly as he wondered what might have happened to her. It looked like her ventures were causing the same kind of thoughts in Viserys and the younger boy nudged the white wolf, offering him comfort. At the mention of Aurai, Halcyon couldn’t help but turn his head to the side. He knew almost nothing about their adopted sister and wondered if there was some kind of back story between her and Viserys. But, he kept the thought to himself. If he had learned anything in his time in Iromar it was that wolves did not like it when another pried. If Vi wanted to tell him anything, he would.

“So, you’re a healer, huh? That’s really cool, actually. As part of my tests, I was asked to train in the healing arts. I have to tell you, it was the hardest thing I have ever done. I prefer fighting than healing, myself. How do you do it? Did you train with anyone? I went to Taviora and met with our older brother, Lucero’s mate, Zeltzin. She’s a really nice wolf and she even introduced me to our niece, Zelda. She looks a lot like me,” he said with a giggle. Then, he went somber for a moment, his head turned down to watch his paws move as they walked together through the snow. “I saw their graves, Vi. Mom and Dad are buried in a beautiful valley in Taviora. Maybe we can bring the others and go see them sometime.” He let this sink in for a moment as the two of them continued. Halcyon had no idea how many of his siblings knew where their parent’s remains had been taken. It felt good to be able to pass the knowledge on to one of them.

The conversation turned and the younger boy smiled and allowed himself to puff his chest out proudly, even if it did nothing to make him as big as his older brother. “Things have been going well for me. I was recently promoted to Elite Guard. You’re looking at the personal guard of the Empress herself.” After several long months and more hours than he could count, Halcyon had trained hard and finally earned one of the highest ranks in the pack. And he was only two! Of course, age didn’t really matter. The boy never saw himself as a child, not since he had had what little childhood he had torn away from him. In his eyes, he was an adult, just like most of the other members of Iromar. Feeling that he was talking too much, Halcyon playfully nipped at Viserys. “You’re going to be four come spring, aren’t you? Have anyone in mind you want to take as your mate,” he chuckled, waiting to see what his brother would do.
