After learning what had happened to his mother, Isaac had become quite angry and out of sorts. He didn't quite understand why his kind, caring mother of all wolves had to be kidnapped by someone mean and terrible. He had wanted to rush out and save her immediately, but Kirsikka had warned him against it, saying the wolf that she was with was quite ferocious. The boy hated the feeling of not being able to do anything, and he wondered if he hadn't been so distant, would this have happened at all? Perhaps he could have prevented it somehow. It was a useless trail of thought to follow as he knew that he couldn't change the past, but it hurt him to think it all the same.

Isaac had heard the howls in the early morning, just after he had opened his eyes, groggy and sleepy. He wondered what the problem was when he heard the call of Daenerys, demanding the attention of any that were able to find pups lost in the snowstorm that night. He was mountainborn, he knew the warning signs of a storm and knew better than to go out in one. They weren't that uncommon around the mountain during the winter, but pups being lost in the snow was not a good thing in the slightest.

The boy roused himself quite quickly after the queen's call, descending down the mountain at a brisk pace, leaving a trail in the crisp, new snow. He was heading down towards the foothills were they likely were if they had been coming towards Spirane, it was the entrance into the mountains, giving just a taste of the far-reaching peaks. Trying to find them by scent was useless, the fresh snowfall would cover any trails that they had left.

Luckily, it appeared at least one of the missing children were not stupid, as a howl reached his ears that sounded about the right age. Isaac took off at a lope towards the source of the howl, stopping short when he realized that it couldn't have possibly been this far. Fortunately for Isaac, a trail of disturbed snow led him right to the boy, who was not quite a pup to him as they seemed to be around the same age. "Are you lost?" He asked, his voice naturally gruff. "I can lead you to a safe spot."
