Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

heros may die...but legends endure

Zelda was enjoying seeing all the wolves, looking at them, darkness was in some of the first arrivals, but one wasn’t really on either end. It was strange how she could see it in their eyes. Feel it radiate from them. She instinctively just knew who had a thick darkness lingering in their heart and those who were simply on the fence. The party was a bit more quiet than she had expected, a lot of wolves turned up but they all seemed shy. Raea kept the scene bright for her though, and Zelda noticed her sister seemed to had followed them. They all simply did not know what to do with one another, and Zelda had decidedly become… distracted upon the arrival of a certain boy.

He was loud and proud, in a way he reminded her of Hyrule, but deffinately was far from the boy she was quite convinced she liked. Hyrule was light, he did many things and sometimes she knew the darkness maybe could grab him when he’s least expecting it, but this boy was different. Darkness was all she felt from him. His façade of a friendly smile didn’t trick her when he first approached so smoothly, but something else took hold as their teal eyes met one another. She was breathless at first, it felt like a black cloud had settled upon her chest. She stared at him, confused for a moment of this feeling. Always she was able to feel the light or darkness emanating off someone, but never like this. Despite the feeling she was friendly to him, giving him a polite bow and a smile, a wave of her tail even, she wasn’t sure what he felt, if anything. It was… different and she felt troubled by it. But she didn’t speak, choosing to observe him, not sure what this feeling was that still settled on her chest or what she could do to quell it.

After some time of watching wolves come in and things seemed to pick up more she thought he was still watching her from afar. She wanted to get away from the group for a moment, almost sure he would follow, though she didn’t know why. She didn’t even know his name yet it felt pertinent that she learn it before leaving. Zelda wanted to speak to him, but at the same time didn’t, she thought she could feel what type of wolf he was, who he was. Perhaps it wouldn’t be surprising to know his mother was the wolfess who killed her grandparents, who attacked her uncle in a vain quest for a land.

A elegiac expression was upon her. Thinking about this boy, who he was and knowing he would follow her. She walked calmly away from the group, giving Raea a small smile as she stepped out over the border that was nearby. She was at the river, the very place where she and Hyrule had their second meeting, the meeting where she told him she would always help him, that they were friends and that she thought her feelings for him maybe started then. She moved to sit next to the river, adapting a rather neutral, if not more regal and calm visage.

He was coming. She could feel the stormy darkness inside grow and clash with her light. Light would win, she trusted in that, but she had to confront this darkness all on her own and see what could be done with it.
