Once this place used to hold the yin and yang scenery of Blossom Field. Now, there are miles of winding tundra. To the north, this tundra is cruel and dry, with wisping weaves of tall grasses. The ground is cracked and cold, and it hardly is ever moistened by dearly desired rainfall. To the south, the tundra becomes more prosperous - meadows of flowers and herbs grace the ground. Part of this connects near Elebeam Weargtreow - however it is an impassible field of poppy, which will put any wolf trying to cross it into a deep slumber, and eventually die.

Those looking to hunt here will find mice, snakes, and rabbits, along with pronghorns, bison, and javalinas.

As soon as Akuji found himself trusting the brute, Akuji found himself possessive of him. It was rare that he formed a relationship with another wolf, especially because he predispositions and feelings against all other breeds against kalaks and that severely diminished the pool for him to pick from. When he asked where Horizon resided or where he thought that he would end up, the thought did not cross his mind that the answer would be anything other than Cold Summers. And because of that, Akuji began to plot. Whether plotting was in his blood, one of the things passed down from his father, or if he just had an urge to protect his daughter, he did not know. But for whatever reason, the idea of a betrothal pushed through loud and strong.

He had had a few pups with a one night stand - with Georgie. After their birth, though he had pledged his broken heart to Georgie, she had left, knowing that he could never love her. No, Akuji's heart was already claimed at that time by Odessa. But he had wanted to do right by his pups and by their mother. Georgie had given him an easy out by disappearing though, and to be honest, he had not really complained too much. They had had a male and two femmes. The male had died, subcumming to weak pup syndrome, but the twins had grownup strong. Unfortunately, his pledge to protect them had been hard to fulfill, for Farant had come and stolen one of his pups from his den. How Farant had found him, he did not know... But after that - after Ariel was stolen - Akuji rarely let Shasta out of his sight. He flowered her with compliments, love, and attention, and she had grown up as a little daddy's girl. But who would protect her when he was gone? Who would protect her when he died?

Or, even more terrifying, who would protect her from Akuji himself, when at long last his Demon won the battle and escaped permanently?

All of these plans seemed to come crashing down, though, when Horizon finally spoke. 'I have actually found a home in Munashii Gekko. The Queen, Lady Ameira, is a good friend of mine. After hearing of her rise to power in Munashii I took residence in her lands, though I did consider Cold Summers as home previously.' Akuji's smile fell, his facade turning into a scowl. How could he choose Munashii Gekko over Cold Summers, when clearly Cold Summers was the only pack that was for their kind?! 'I would love to visit Cold Summers if I ever got the chance seeing as you are the only kalak who hasnít tried to rip out my throat.' Akuji took a deep breath, trying to relax, and smiled again. "Well, we could also come to visit you. Myself and my daughter, I mean. I think it would be good for the two of you to meet." His smile grew into a grin and his lids narrowed as he examined the brute. "I think you should be betrothed to Shasta. Does that sound good to you? She is an adult, already, I'm not trying to pawn you off on any sketchy relationship with a pup. She is young still, but I've decided you are perfect for her. And, most importantly, you will forever protect her from Farant." Akuji dipped his head, as if the whole deal had already been sealed, forgetting that Horizon had yet to agree.
