The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

This stranger had caught Halina's attention, and was indeed intriguing. She was young but had the heart of a warriorsess, the same heart that beat in Halina's chest. Even if she hadn't already been at Abendrot's borders asking for acceptance and admittance, Halina would have thought that she belonged there. She would have convinced this Ambrosia the way that she had convinced Lupin and Sitka... Although Sitka had admittedly then had second thoughts. 'I'm here because here is where I belong. Here is where I wish to belong. I seek the dark ones, looking for comfort in those of them who share my necromancy-like fantasies. If you had found something you thought was different from your kind in me, I'm sure you would have killed me or made me leave by now, no?'

Halina cocked her head to the side, considering the question. "Kill? No, not likely. I'm not a pup killer. For one, I consider pups as innocents. For another, it would be too easy of a kill. For one I could probably sit on you and squish you and suffocate you to death. But yes, I probably would have tried to convince you to leave here." Halina shook her head - this pup was cocky, probably too cocky for her own good. Maybe one day she would learn, probably the hard way. But for now she was entertaining, and showed qualities that were worth keeping, and molding into something that was actually worthy.

"If here is where you would like to call home, then call it such. I will not stop you from entering, and will give you permission to do you. However, my next question to you will be where you would like to live. I can show you to the dens, or else you can live with me and my mate as my daughter. My protege." Halina smirked at her, wondering what she would choose. Even if the pup decided to live abandoned from Halina, the eboness would still provide her with training should she desire it.
