Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

What little amount time he’d spent in the area, it was fairly obvious how easy would be to get what Farant wanted. The wolves that resided here were weak and pathetic compared to the army that his master was bringing. And many of them would continue to remain oblivious to the chaos that would consume them. Akranos wasn’t hardly surprised by this at all. He was no spy, he wasn’t even trained in the discipline, but from the many years of his sisters training he’d picked up a few tricks. One of them being blending. He had remained under cover and silent through the duration of his stay. His sister wasn’t far from his side. They had been sent in together, their eyes were kept on Eriel. The little princess had “escaped” from Farant. But really, she’d only been let free. Even the base soldiers knew that! Farant was more tactile than some gave him credit. Eriel being one of those fools. Akranos felt the rumble of laughter evade his better judgment and a sharp hiss from his sister silenced him immediately. He knew better than to mess with her. Her assassin training made her one of the most lethal kalaks at Farant’s disposal.

Akranos glarer quietly but did not fight back. His brawny body was merely a means of force. He could move with surprising speed and force combined but he was by no means a force of death. He was like the harbinger of death. He was the forewarning and foreshadow to what lurked just behind him—Eerie. With her just as his flank, he would have barely noticed her presence had the connection between them not been so strong. Their connection and shared intelligence was a reason for their teaming not many like would have retained such a close relationship. If one could call it that. Farant’s mind control of his sister made her more puppet like than most soldiers, including himself. She retained a bond to him, but she was liable to kill him should Farant deem it necessary. She was clearly at Farant’s leisure and use.

It was then a powerful howl ripped through the air, and to any old ear it would have been a gathering call from no one in particular, but soldiers, spies and assassins from Farant’s army would instantaneously arrive to that call. Akranos let a ferocious growl rubble in his chest, Finally some action, sister of mine. He threw a glance her direction. He had been waiting for this moment and it was finally coming to fruition. Farant had made it to Blossom Forest. Now the fun would begin.

The shadowy duo slipped through the tree’s tearing across the land. Eerie had slowly but surely taken the lead but Akranos remained tight on her heels. Their long limbs extended into bounds and leaps as they scaled the mountainside. Eerie’s trained ears sought out the last of the resounding call, her bodice turned slightly, their course altered to the call. And within minutes they slowed to walk and came into the presence of Farant himself. Akranos’ muscles rippled under his pelt, a blank mask coming over his façade. His obedience to Farant coming to light, so easily, just like he’d been trained so many years ago. His body dipped down into a full bow, before he returned to a standing salute. His tail hung, his ears alert, his attention solely focused on the brute who had given him a purpose.
