Tithe

Tithe once more nodded in understanding of what Roman was asking of him. A celebration, or party, in which the gypsies were involved. Much like the story-telling he had helped facilitate on the beaches of Glorall. Between the two packs there had been a number of wolves who had attended. What Roman was asking was a far greater gathering. Tithe was curious to see what could become of it. He had come a long way from the wolf he was when he first stepped paw in this land. Once before he would have hid in the shadows, content to watch the world around him. In fact, he had almost run from the first of such a gathering. Inward, he smiled to himself. Now he was helping to host.

“I see no objection. I will call to the packs, as I am sure Taika will hail the gypsies.” He paused for a moment, considering the wolf in front of him. “You have come from nowhere. I see you already have much to stand for. You and I are not so different. Before you came here I had been working with the diplomats of Taviora. We had hopes to set up an exchange system. Youth of the forests would come to the mountains to learn trades and skills, and vice versa. Would you aim to consider such a partnership with one so close?”

Tithe lowered himself to lay down, his tail curling up over his back legs. It was not a submission, but him lowering himself to show he did not think, nor feel, any threat in this situation. Nor was he now in any position to be one. He was a large wolf he knew, and laid down to put others around him at ease.
