Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

xo oh, my ancient mars

She liked the forest better than open ground, it reminds her of where she came from. The smell of pine and juniper, the sturdy trunks of ancient oaks, even the screech of crows is a comfort she cannot deny herself. Her decision to leave behind everything she knew left her feeling a bit sad at times, nostalgic for a time in her life when she’d been certain because she’s anything but sure in this strange land. Of course she enjoys the adventure of it all and she also admires the freedom given to all the wolves here, even if she hasn’t made any new friends just yet. It would surely change, Kenya was quite optimistic about things, her spirit carried on the wings of young fascination.

For now she is enjoying the trees, how the sun splits between their branches, casting shadows and shapes that make her dizzy. She could walk beneath them for hours, study every pattern with intense curiosity. Here, in these woods, Kenya feels terribly small, like a fleck in the entirety of the universe, and she briefly wonders if the stars look down on her as she looks up at them. This sense of are and amazement at their existence, how plentiful they are.

But of her course her daydreaming is her constant downfall. The slender wolf does not have her attention on the path she moves down, golden eyes caught up in the air with the trees and the birds, so much so that she literally runs right into someone else. There is a yelp when she makes contact, her ears flick back, and she shies into the opposite direction with her tail between her legs out of sudden shock.

I am so sorry!” She says and her voice trembles. If she could blush, she would have, right there in front of this other wolf, which she can now recognize as a male. Kenya lowers her head a little as she comes closer to where he is standing, hoping that he won’t be too angry with her for running into him like that. “I didn’t mean to run into you like that, these trees are so beautiful,” she says and lifts her muzzle to the canopy above their heads.
