She smiled as the grey wolfess seemed pleased. She was very happy and friendly, nothing like what she really expected here in Asteraia after Jaidah had taken it over and the scarred wolfess afterwards. Zeltzin though knew Asteraia still didn’t feel the same as it had. Almost too much blood had been lost over this flat land making it feel heavy and almost cursed to the russet, black and white female. Perhaps it was just her own feelings, surely those that lived here unaware of the past didn’t feel exactly as she did. As the wolfess explained further she keeps it well stocked because her alphas had been challenged twice in one year, Zeltzin felt a heavy frown. Jaidah… she was a terrible creature… she was the one who had given Rhae such grievous wounds… she died later even though Zeltzin had done her best to keep her alive.
The regret would be with Zeltzin forever that she couldn’t save her mate’s mother that by not saving her Iblis too had gone to the next life. ”That female is a terrible wolf. I can’t believe after everything she is still willing to spill more blood just to ascend to a throne… she is the most dark of all wolves I think, I hope someday the light catches her. I am happy though that your alpha’s had fended her off time and time again though. A feat to show how much they care about the land.” She says a bit somberly though cheering up towards the end. She knew if Jaidah ever were to get the land back that would mar their memories, if she ever got Taviora it too would be an insult to them as their resting place.
However she didn’t want to rant about her any more. That wolfess had caused enough strife in Zeltzin’s life and all she could hope was someday she would die for it. Never had she wished that much ill upon anyone, but that female tried worked to earn the normally gentle girls ire. She was really trying to turn her focus away though from her thoughts and thankfully Nakato gave her a good reason too. ”Aura?” Zeltzin asked curiously, tilting her head not sure she had ever heard of something like that before but in a way she had. Zelda had a knack for knowing how dark or light wolves were, not the same at all but it was in an essence something similar. Zeltzin had always chopped it up to good intuition on her daughter’s part, but still this aura was something she never heard of.
When Nakato winched and yelped in surprised Zeltzin stood up as if ready to take some kind of action to move. However as she watched Nakato look down at her belly a small smile on her face and tears forming in her eyes a sudden wave of understanding had hit the female. She sat silently for a moment observing the wolfess as she fell back onto her haunches looking a bit concerned at the female for a few moments before she refixed her bright blue eyes upon her and apologized. ”Aura… but I am sorry, I feel so bad now I had no idea you were expecting, I should have known immediately. You should be resting not dealing with my interference.” The younger wolfess said bowing her head apologetically to the dark furred healer. She didn’t want to be a bother, but a small smile crept upon her maw. Zeltzin remembered these times and sometimes wished she could return to them. She wished for another litter so dearly but with Lucero gone it was simply a dream for her. She instead lived vicariously through other mothers and she enjoyed that as well. However, nothing was more rewarding than giving birth to them and raising them, yourself.
