Vincent nodded slightly when the stranger said that he had little interest in pack life. Perhaps his reasons for leaving were different, but all the same, he wouldn't be settling down in a pack anytime soon. He didn't necessarily desire company but he saw this as a way to gain a little bit of infamy and perhaps put down some roots in something that wasn't truly a home. His thoughts turned to Spirit just briefly, and he almost sighed out loud, due to the fact that he had up and abandoned her once again. But he was here, in Moladion, and that had to count for something, didn't it? Even now their bond still called for him to be by her side, it was a full-body ache that he just couldn't shake.
He peered curiously towards where the attention had become focused, towards a child who seemed to have answered the call just as the rest of them had. Jackdaw's comment made him chuckle, a deep, hearty thing, and he added a couple of words of his own.
"You've got some courage, boy. C'mon and sit." He shifted slightly, allowing for the space that they other two had made for the child and returning his gaze to the one who had called.
Vincent listened intently, clearly interested in the brute's offer. The word 'mercenary' struck a familiar place in his heart, and he thought that maybe life in Moladion wouldn't have to be so different after all. He glanced over at Jackdaw who assured them of his own talents.
"Out-track me, eh?" He chuckled.
"If ya caught me, I'd beat ya to a pulp." He said with a wink, but his tone was humorous.
"Glad you're on our side, though."
