Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

i don't know what is real,
i can't touch what i feel
He was skittish, leaving Diveen again, and as he crossed the border it was obvious that he was uncomfortable. But it was good to get out, he thought, even though nightmares left him exhausted nearly every morning. Jaeger hated living like this and sometimes he wondered if he should take a trip to Glorall and toss himself from the sea-cliffs and into the sea to be swept away and forgotten. It was nothing but a fantasy, however, as he cared too much for those that he would leave behind. Simply put, he would have to live and suffer, with no tangible end in sight, no relief for miles around. The boy doubted a healer would help him, doubted that there was any herb that could soothe his shredded mind. Everything simply seemed hopeless, and the most that he could do was continue forwards- and maybe one day, his demons would subside.

For now he walked cautiously through the fields, the grass grown tall and yellowed, summer heat beating down on his pelt. The angel-marked boy glanced around and tried his best to simply breathe, hoping that it would ease some of his anxiety. It was as if he was marked for death, the way that every time he tried to leave there was someone waiting to attack him. He growled lowly as laughter reverberated in his ears. How tragic it was to not be able to trust your own senses. How tragic it was to not know what was real and what was simply a delusion of a troubled mind.

The laughter did not stop and he let out a pained whimper, shaking his head as if to remove something from his ears. Flopping down onto his stomach, he hid amongst the grass, pawing at his ears as if that would help his case. Nothing helped, though, and eventually, the laughter subsided on it's own. Jaeger whined quietly to himself, rolling over onto his side and resting his head in the soft grass. Maybe he should just go home. Maybe going out- it just wasn't right for him. But the grass was comfortable, and the boy figured that he could rest here for a while and enjoy the sun on his pelt... he was hidden enough in the tall grass and perhaps he would be lucky enough, if anyone were to come across him, to have them be kind.
