News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

he who conquers, endures
five - female - loner - no mate - no heart
lost in the wilderness, a wandering soul

It was all some clever game I figured to get me to some specific point so I let her do what was necessary. I wasn't ready to start some war with a strange wolf just yet. These lands were new to me and crawling with wolven creatures and I was intensely curious about it all. After all, everything seemed abundant here. I had seen quite a bit of wildlife while traveling but they were clever - I guess they had to be with this many predators running around. In truth, I would enjoy a rest by a babbling brook with a hot meal in my belly, not that I was complaining. I could go another day or two before I grew famished. I'd done it before and would do it again if I had to. The moment the dark female fell into step behind me is the the moment I flashed my fang to her - no funny business, you here? While I was built in a rather sleek manner with tall legs and a willowy sort of figure, I'd give this girl a go that she would remember. Even IF she did beat me.

The smirk is met with my own curious gaze, although I do try to appear ambivalent to everything. Still, here we are in a territory with some newly crowned King and this girl chasing me inward. I wondered if she might be setting me up for a trap - send me in, get me killed, you know, that sort of wicked game. Except, she says she isn't. "That is a relief," I say back, my tones lilting with my foreign accent. I had been born into a different culture with a different language, although according to the rest of the pack my mother hadn't been of the same heritage. I had decided in the end it was where you come from mixed with who you were born as that created oneself.

The comment about the scruff earns a glare from Roza, her ears flicking back in disdain because she is not sure if what the female says is a taunt or a threat. "Cogitas." (You think) I say under my breath, lifting my head a bit in a proud sort of manner, eyes flicking away from the she-wolf to scent the air once more. Jokes were not uncommon in other places, I had heard, but they had not been given freely in my old pack since I was a pup. So much had changed with the litters I had been born into and I felt a sense of nostalgia from my pup-years. My ears prick once more at her next words and real interest shines in my yellow eyes. It was certainly beautiful here, I think, the backdrop so different from my old home. "Etiam," I say before narrowing my eyes as I realize I have spoke once more in a different tongue. "Yes, I mean, I did."

My attention is diverted from my would be kidnapper - who has stolen me to offer a home? strange - by the arrival of the King wolf. I know it is him immediately for his scent floods the area as thick as the pollen. Instinct dictates I lower my tail and head, his alpha aura seeming to consume the world around him, and I follow it's call. My eyes scan over him in a curious manner, not at all derogatory, noting the wince that he gives. So I was right and he had only recently acquired the pack. My skills amused me and pleased me all the same but I hid it well. My lips twitch into a smile of sorts at his words and my eyes jump between them both. Cannibals? My attention zeros in on this word, unfamiliar to me because it seems so different.

He is smooth talking, I think, trying to persuade me by familiarizing us, but I like it. It sits well for an Alpha and he doesn't stand there with pride eating him up and aggression and dominance suffocating me. Perhaps what wins me over most of all is his mention of my coloring and I grin at him then, lifting my head a bit in a proud sort of manner as my fur rises then settles, a habit. "No but I was told my mother was of similar color. She came from the deep south but I am not told where. She died upon my birth so my heritage is, sadly, lost. I am pleased that here will be no different," I say. I think he might think I am bold. Maybe a bit vain or proud but I don't care - it is the thing that marks me as different and I don't want to be the same as others. "Your color is similar," I say, tilting my head to the side as I stare at him in an open sort of manner. "I like it. Decorus." (handsome).

"You are a new King, yes?" I sit abruptly then, eyes sliding towards Morrigan to see if she might do anything. Some Second's - because I sensed that is what she was or was aiming to be - were stiffer than Alphas. "What is cannibal?"
