The feeling of Samhain pushing into her only makes the moment that much more enjoyable, his pleased growl sends a shiver down her spine. What is was that made the one time stranger feel this way towards her was unknown, but Psyche refused to push away the chance at a companionship she had never felt before, no matter what the cost may be. And so she enjoys the instance of solitary between them before Tick-Tock’s arrival.
Thoughts go to the upcoming winter, the first one since leaving her original pack that she would not endure alone if Samhain did indeed end up inhabiting Asteraia as well. At a glance up at him she notices that he is looking elsewhere and so she follows his line of sight to the black figure of Tick-Tock. She moves her back to Samhain now so she can better face her alpha then lowers her head at the monster; a simple sign of respect that the black wolf deserved.
She watches silently as Tick-Tock makes herself comfortable, and then her cool voice reaches her ears. Instead of speaking first, she waits for Samhain to say what he has to, embracing his closeness all the while. At his last words her heart flutters along with her wagging tail and a small smile creeps upon her lips. After he has finished she faces Tick-Tock once more, her small honeyed voice dwarfed by both of theirs holds a hint of playfulness in it.”I met him in the Crags…and he wishes to reside here. I have taken a liking to him, I’ll admit.” Only fate knew what made Psyche so drawn to him. In her own birth pack she had not felt safe. Yet with this sun kissed male whom she had just met, she had never felt more protected. Love had not yet been soiled for the tricolored fem, and so she welcomed his spontaneous affection with an open heart.
