Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

She heard her name but it sounded completely foreign. She had not heard it from the lips of anyone but Underidge for many moons. She knew only his voice and the uneasy comfort that it gave her over time. No, this was not a call from the lips of Underidge, and her ears twisted with the call. Her eyes sought the one who called, to see who it was that knew her name and dare speak it to the wind.

Her rainbows finally land on the one who comes closer to her. He seems excited, surprised to see her. She does not show such a thing in return, instead only confusion crossed her golden smudged forehead. She sees him, she feels odd, but he is nothing but a stranger to her. Her mind cannot place the image of the pup of her brother with the grown wolf before her. Their faces were blurred in time, faded like a sand statue. She feels her golden hackles raising, brilliantly against her darker furs intermingled with reds. Her wrinkled face turned to Underidge, connecting with him as she sees the anger and displeasure in his face as he moves from the water back to the sand. It all seems to go so slowly as the strange wolf comes between them, blocking the view of Underidge.

She feels uncomfortable, her teeth releasing from her dark lips. She did not understand how he knew her name and why he stands before her now, and looks at her the way he does. He does not deserve to look at her this way. Her ears fall back aggressively, her rainbow eyes locking with Atlas for a moment. Her aggression does not stop, but seems to lull and stand still for a moment. It was as if the eyes were speaking to her, trying to draw something out of her...but instead of indulging in curiosity, she felt the hard grip of fear and confusion on her throat.

"Underidge," she calls out firmly, eyes peeling away from Atlas as she suddenly pulls to the left, on the right side of Atlas, keeping a good few feet between them as her tall thin form quickly maneuvers around him. She sees Underidge now, drawn to him naturally and her eyes seeking his. He is displeased- probably displeased that a stranger knows her name. Was he spying on them? Does he desire her like males do? Her mind reels over it as she quickly finds her way behind Underidge. Her dark paws touch the water, her long tail getting soaked at the tip as she hides behind him. She was not scared, more so seeking his leadership and guidance on what to do. He had to know. He had to be in control.

"Underidge- how does he know my name? Why does he look at me that way? You have to make him stop," she demands, her voice, although always a beauty, was firm and displeased. She looked to Underidge, feeling his one displeasure and feeding off of it. She looks to the stranger again, hackles remaining raised as she tries to understand- but simply cannot.
